Hello My DMR-ES10 has started making this revving/winding type noise.Sometimes it records for awhile with the noise then just stops.Occasionally the noise doesnt happen and its fine.It plays recorded discs okay with the noise but its just annoying. It also wont format/finalise discs with the noise. Is it spinnig on the mat? please help ****
Turns out the rubber disc grip on the spindle simply needs to be cleaned (using an alcohol wipe). This is the part that holds the disc firm while it's spinning...the noise and failed disc reads comes from this rubber getting dirty and allowing the disc to slip. Total time to fix including disassembly was less than 15 minutes!

Pedro, DVD recorders do not record from DVD players or VCR players due to protection type microvision, but I think the DMR-ES10 can do this. Not possess it, but have heard speaking Brazilian users it writes, yes! My DMR-E55Pls not record from... unles the files do not contain any protection.
this unit has an optical-eye, not recording heads. opening the drawer then unplugging unit will expose the eye. never look into the eye when unit has power. this x-ray can and will burn your owh eyes lens&retina. good luck. clean with 90% isopropyl alcohol and q-tip. mch
hi....Download instruction manual of DMR-ES10 by clickiing this link http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/DMRES10.PDF. It is PDF file and can be open / print through adobe reader . for adobe reader, go to www.adobe.com.
Can you press Enter when you get the error message? That will tell it to diagnose the problem. Tell me if that works. The manual can be found here. I can't find the T112 error you mentioned though. http://panasonic.ca/PDP/OperatingInstructions/dmres10s-oi-eng.pdf Reply if you need further assistance.
