Question about Memorex MT2271 27" TV
Your picture tube may be malfunctioning -- all of the information for the screen is being squished into that horizontal line. If this is the case, you can buy a new picture tube and install it, but that would be the only fix. the only other thing I can think of that might cause this issue would be if you have a large speaker next to your TX. The magnet from a large speaker can distort the television, but it usually gives you a funny green distortion near the magnet without killing your whole screen so it seems unlikely that this is your problem.
