Question about Sony SDX 420C (SDX-420C) AIT Tape Drive
First, power off the system connected to the drive.
To remove metal in a drive, I've used 2 tools: my pinky finger and a plastic knife.
If the slot is too small for a pinky finger to dislodge and remove the metal, try a plastic (not metal) knife.
Be careful not to scratch the drive heads.
Hope this helps.
