If the printer is loud ( loud buzzing sound ) then is caused by two things. 1. The fuser pressure roller bearings are worn and 2. the fuser drive gearing on the left hand side of printer ( as you look at it from the rear ) may also be worn.
I have replaced bearings before but they dont seem to last for long. A new fuser is the best option.

Ok so the problem is with the paper pickup in Tray 1 only. By your description I am assuming that the paper is getting pickup up but the pickup roller keeps turning and picking up more paper, is that correct?

Or is it pucking up multiple sheets of paper?

Check that the separation pad ( under the pickup roller ) has a cork or rubber surface. I have found that missing in some cases which causes noise and pickup issues.

  • eudalt Jun 03, 2011

the printer func anormal because not stop pickin paper on tray 1 moves repeatedly up and down
and not pause on a paper inside.

  • Col Johnson Jun 05, 2011

I think I understand now that the Tray 1 ( MP Tray ) paper pickup roller keeps rotating when it should,nt. You need to take the right hand side panel off the printer and watch the rotation of the gearing on the end of the shaft that holds the pickup roller. Watch to see if the solenoid is operating, i.e. opening and closing onto the white gear/clutch.
If it is opening and closing then the problem is with the white gear & clutch.
If it is staying open then the printer has either a faulty solenoid or faulty controller board.

  • eudalt Jun 05, 2011

thanks i should prove this, have you a service manual? to make right and find more information.

  • Col Johnson Jun 05, 2011

Sorry but I dont have a service manual. The right panel comes off easily so you should,nt have any problem in examining the mechanism.

  • eudalt Jun 10, 2011

i have extranct left and right panels i see that is the gear but i dont know have solution
    the problem persist
the gear is not full is truncatet i dont now is right

    thanks

  • Col Johnson Jun 10, 2011

Sorry but I dont understand what you are saying. When the paper pickup roller is turning you need to look at the solenoid to see fi it is opening and closing.. If it is not then you have have a defective solenoide or controller board. If it is opening and closing then you have a defective clutch. That is the white gearing on the end of the shaft of the paper pickup roller assembly. I cant explain it any better than that.

  • Gimosuby Jun 27, 2011

I have the same problem. Eudalt, did you get this problem fixed and what was it?

  • Gimosuby Jul 04, 2011

Here is the real answer. I've talked to a HP tech. The metal solenoid plate needs to be re-aligned. You can find documentation on how to do that here:http://www.2shared.com/document/AAIQCT2w...

    Hopes this helps someone.

Paper will not feed

Both paper tray and rollers are spring loaded.

If you have paper stuck in the feed area, it will not pick up paper.

Try removeing all from unit and power blowing the inside try area.

My HP laserjet printer is showing Out of paper repeatedly. How to fix it?

the out of paper erro can also be caused by worn pickup rollers. These rollers are used to pickup paper from the paper tray and feed it into the printer. When they get worn down they can't grip the paper to pick it up so the printer thinks the paper tray is empty. The pickup roller runs $3.99 and can be installed by the end user, no service center is needed. The part number is RL1-0266 and looks like this:

Paper Jam HP LaserJet 1300

Hello,

I hope this will be of Help for the HP LaserJet 1300 Paper Jam Trouble Shooting:

  1. See the product user guide for information about clearing jams from the printer.
  2. Make sure that the paper guides are adjusted properly. Slide the guides against the sides of the stack in the main input tray or the priority input tray to center the page. Make sure that the guides are not adjusted too tightly.
  3. The media input tray might be too full. Remove some of the sheets.
  4. Make sure that the media being used meets specifications. Click here to refer to "Media specifications" for more information .
  5. Make sure that the media being used is not wrinkled, folded, or damaged.
  6. Make sure that the printer is clean. See the product user guide for information about cleaning the printer.
  7. If printing to the straight-through output path, close and open the door again to make sure that the green release levers are closed.
  8. The paper might not have been removed from the main input tray before the tray was refilled. Always remove paper form the main input tray before refilling it.
  9. Output capacity might have been exceeded in the paper output bin. Do not allow more than 125 sheets of 20-lb (75 g/m2) bond weight paper to fill the paper output bin (less for heavier paper).
  10. The pickup roller or printer separation pad might be dirty or damaged. Clean or replace the part. (See the product user guide for information about cleaning and replacing the pickup roller and printer separation pad.)

My HP LaserJet 3050 will not grab and feed paper from the paper tray but will print on single fed sheets when fed to the input above the paper tray. What is wrong?

Open the top as if you were going to change ink cartridges. Find all rollers yuou can and wipe them with a t-shirt type material dry. Do not use any liquids unless you can get some rubbing alcohol. Turn the wheels and claen them as best as is posible. Open the paper jam door and do the same to all rollers in site. Any way you can get to the rollers, use it. This should solve your problem. Also try fanning your paper before loading it. Thanks, Dana

Printing problem with HP Laserjet P2015 printer

This can be an issue with one of the faulty sensor across the printer.
Please check if you are able to print from tray 1, e.g. a configuration page.
A config page can be printed by holding the Green Button and releasing it as soon as the Triangle light comes on. This would take approx 5 secs.
If the printer is able to print from tray 1, then it could be an issue with the tray 2 pickup sensor.
Check if the tray 2 pickup sensor ( a black plastic piece to the right of the tray 2 pickup roller) is moving freely (front and back), also check if tray 2 pickup roller is not able to rotate completely.

If the tray 2 sensor is not moving freely and of the pickup roller is rotating completely, then reseat the pickup roller.

Normal use with good media causes wear resulting in the need to periodically clean or replace the pickup roller. Additionally, the use of poor media might require more frequent replacement of the pickup roller. Replacing the pickup roller Complete the following to replace the pickup roller:

CAUTION: Failure to complete this procedure might damage the printer. Unplug the power cord from the printer, and allow the printer to cool.

    Automatic Paper feed

Check the feeder roller inside the printer for any foreign substance stuck to the roller, this may cause it not to grip properly. You can also try a few sheets at a time and make sure the paper tray is gripping the paper, but not too hard. If this fails, the roller may be out of place somewhat, try to reposition it. Let me know how you get on.
