It is plumbed with cold feed only. I tried cold wash and same thing happens? There is no error code or warnings - it just acts like end of a wash.

Thank you for suggestions, they all point to need for a technician so I have to call in an engineer now. Thanks

Hi,

If your washing machine aborts within the first few minutes of a wash it could be that the heater isn't working and it has detected the water isn't getting any warmer and timed out on heat.If the washing machine is not heating water it is caused by the following:-

Faulty Thermostat-This is a component that measures the water temperature. You need to call a service repairman to get it tested.

Faulty Heating element-Check the connections for loose or corroded contacts.

If no hot water is coming through the hose check to see if the screen inside the water-inlet valve is clean. If it's clean, you probably have a defective water-inlet valve. If so, you need to replace the valve.

    Hi,

Since this machine has only cold feed then the problem lies elsewhere. Some washing machines will abort just after starting if they detect any one of the parts has a slight leak to earth. A megger meter is needed to check for this and only engineers tend to have them. Insulation tests involve putting 500 v CD through the machine.

Please get back to us if you have further query else please accept the suggestion.

    Hi,

There is one more thing that needs to be checked if it's draining all the water then the failure is likely a stuck water level pressure switch. Your model could also have a flood switch too that is stuck causing the drain pump to come on. Testing the pressure switches will require an OHM meter. However this type of failure will likely require a service technician to diagnose and repair.

Pls my wma64 is not retaining water for washing, it releases water immediately the water goes into the machine. Pls what can i do ?

The most likely reason is that the drain valve is stuck open. If the unit is newer it can be caused by debris and might be cleared by repeatedly cycling the valve. If older the valve may have failed and will require a new one. Another less likely problem is the timer assembly that controls the valve.

My machine starts a wash ,, fills then emptys with in 2 mins on any cycle

Sounds like your drain hose is not high enough or you have a tight fit where it goes into your standpipe. The drain hose should have a space around it where it goes into the standpipe or it will create a vacuum effect and **** the water right back out.

THE DOOR ON MY HOTPOINT WMA64 DOES NOT REGISTER AS BEING CLOSED

The most common cause of this is the sensor wire inside has vibrated loose and is no longer making a connection to the switch. Those switches rarely fail. It's a very easy fix, only need a screwdriver. I would, however, use a small plastic ziptie to hold the wire to the switch.

Leaking machine

Could be caused by several reasons.
1- Overfilling, check water level .
2-Blockage in dispenser, or dispenser inlet hose to drum
3-Drawer not in properly.
4-M/c not draining properly, thus when it goes into spin, water could be thrown up by centrifugal force, and come out of the front of the drawer.Check filter.
5-Water pressure very high, forcing water out of drawer, adjust pressure.
Plz rate my soution.
Thanks.
