Hi,

It seems like your Whirlpool MT1130SGB/Q/Z Microwave Oven have a faulty circuit board or coils that burned. Check them, you may need to replace them.

I have a built-in AEG Microwave code MC166(0E?) My son unfortunately used the microwave as a timer so it was on for 30mins without anything in it. It now won't turn "on"; no light/clock...

What fuse did you change? The fuse on the wiring that leads to the microwave needs to be intact, then the fuse in the Microwave itself needs to be checked. Usually there is a plug where the microwave is plugged in, in the cabinet above the microwave, you can take another small appliance or a power tester to make sure power is available in the outlet where the microwave is plugged in. If the power is on at the outlet then you'll know that it is the microwave itself that has turned itself off for some reason. You can get manuals for these ovens at this website

GE MICROWAVE MODEL JVM1750DM1WW NO POWER AT ALL. HAVE ALREADY CHECKED THE OUTLET AND CHECKED THE BREAKER. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WORKING.

If the microwave control panel doesn't light up, then your fuse is blown. unplug the microwave. unscrew the vent grill, (2) screws at the top of the microwave. then you should see 1 screw holding the control panel. after removing that screw, gently push up then out. there should be a metal plate on top of the control panel. remove that plate and the fuse will be in that opening. replace fuse and microwave should begin working.

I accidently ran it for a few minutes wih nothing in it. I turned it off and everyting seemed fine. Later I walked in kitchen and there is no light, power or anything.

I assume you checked the power cord and house power circuit breaker panel... possibly tripped unrelated to your running the microwave empty.

(the following is from http://www.kellerstudio.de/repairfaq/sam/micfaq.htm#mictotdo)

The microwave oven may be powered from a GFCI outlet or downstream of one and the GFCI may have tripped. (Removing a broken oven lamp has been known to happen.) The GFCI outlet may not be in an obvious location but first check the countertop outlets. The tripped GFCI could be in the garage or almost anywhere else! Pushing the RESET button may be all that's needed.

Next, try to set the clock. With some ovens the screen will be totally blank following a power outage - there may be nothing wrong with it. Furthermore, some ovens will not allow you perform any cooking related actions until the clock is set to a valid time.

If those are not the problems, then the main fuse is the most likely suspect for a totally dead microwave.
Remember, while you can do some repairs on you microwave, what you don't know can kill you... even on an unplugged microwave, so make sure you understand the dangers and how to reduce them before you try anything inside a microwave. If you want to do more yourself, let me know and I will point you in the direction of some good resources.

We had an power outage and lost power for a few hours everything came back on but the microwave. I checked the outlet and checked the fuse still nothing. Is there anything that can be fixed?

Hello if you have no power at the outlet, you may have saved your microwave. If the outlet is dead go to your house electrical panel and reset the breaker or replace the fuse. if the outlet is live and the microwave still won't power on you will have to choose between repair and replacement. Definitely get an estimate before agreeing to a repair as microwaves are very inexpensive today compared to even a couple of years ago.

if you have power at the outlet and the internal fuse is okay, I would say you have a problem on the control board. We repair these nationwide for $32.50. Please see my profile for the Web address: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk
