    an expert would tell me:
"dave the sound card for your Akai pt50dl24x/sms is part number: xxxx"

Question 1: Is the amplifier chip located on
    board part number: bp97-01082g

Question 3: is the chip locatd on the main powr board?

this is all i need to know. please DO NOT RESPOND WITH "it may be your sound card"

I will conduct asearch to find the board. WHICH BOARD IS IT?????

  • binkley75040 May 31, 2011

Eureka! i fixed it. after pulling the cover off and inspecting the board, i get frustrated and put everything back together. i left the cover off and turned it on to make sure i put all the cables back properly etc.... It played flawlessly for over two hours. put the cover on and after twenty minutes the problem returned. i bought a cheap ten inch fan from walmart and clipped it to the back of the set and aimed the air low into the vent holes..........The Tv was left on for over 12 hours and worked perfectly. Granted, this is not a high tech solution...but for $8 a very inexpensive one. Hope other readers find this helpful

Here is the audio IC at the partstore.com
http://www.partstore.com/Part/Samsung/Samsung/PT50DL24XSMS/Samsung/Samsung/1204002471/New.aspx

You will have to unsolder it and solder in the new one. Should be located on the signal board.

Good day!

If the sounds is crackly and then after the few minutes become silent.

yes,the problem could be the sound card but before you replaced it try to check all the boards if any leak/bulged on the top capacitors and try to replaced it before you replaced the sound card.

Thank you and don't forget to rate my answer.

Hello
Sound output IC at the sound card has damaged. You have to replce the sound card itself. OK.

Replace it and check the speakers also. If that IC is shorted, there is a chance to get its voice coil damaged. OK. Anyway, card replacement is best.

The final audio amplifier overheats and malfunctions - you will have to replace it. You could replace just the amplifier chip - but that requires good soldering skills - or you could replace the entire board - but finding one will be difficult, i couldn't find one online.

I HAVE AKAI PT50DL24XISMS IT COMES ON FOR 30SEC TO 1MIN THE PICTUREGOES OUT THE SOUND STAY ON THEN GOES OFF

Its a DLP that uses a lamp, lamp is possible but I would also look to see if fans are on and running, a fan stopping or even slowing down can trigger the set off also.

Average lamp life is 2000 hours or two years and set if lamp a bit dim may shut set off.

I need a lamp for Akai Model PT50DL24X/sms Lamp Code BP96-01472A (P132W) I need to find this lamp can you help? Akai does not answer e-mails & the phone is blocked ,Thanks

The bp96-01472 tells me the set was made by Samsung---lamp should be easy to find=============GOOGLE that number with the word lamp after it and you will find many places that sell it.

Two ways here, buy a generic "bulb", take the cartridge with the bulb apart etc, these generic lamps cost less but are no bargain as they usually have a shorter life span.

Get a lamp with the cartridge (bulb and housing) and your task will be easy.

Samsung bought the Akai name some years ago, all products with that name are Samsung.

When changing the lamp do not touch the glass face with your hands as any oil will cause the lamp to fail very quickly.

If you have any questions post a comment here and I will reply, the site will email me.

Turn off sound when heartrate drops

On the screen just prior to work-out mode:

1. Select Settings using the right buttons and the OK button.
2. Select HR Alarm.
3. Select Off.
4. Press the OK button.
5. Press OK again to start exercise.

The same can be done during exercise by hold the OK button down to get to the menu. Very convenient when you use the alarm sometimes and have left it on.

Akai model PT50DL24X/SMS when you turn on the set it makes a popping sound then there is no sound at all. the only way to get it back is to unplug it and let it reset.

the popping sound is generated in the audio output amplifier IC, change out the ic and any associated electrolytic capacitors this should restore normal operation good luck

Akai PT50DL24 50 in DLP Rear Projection TV-NO PIC OR SOUND

check for popped or raised tops on caps in power supply. also try unplugging set for 5 minutes and resetting it. How about does your color wheel spin up? if your color wheel don't startup then your tv will also shut down. also check all fans they all should be running at turn on. if all fails i would say its your light engine.
