Trying to find out if my hp625 has an nternal microphone. Used a skype connection this morning but contact couldn't hear me. Can't fiind and hp documentation on it. ebcam worked a treat though!

Have you tried in the mixer to see if the mic is muted?
Right click on the speaker icon and open volume control, click options and select the recording button for the tick box that will show the mic input, then back on the mixer it should have a mute tick box. Uncheck that and you should have sound.
