If it types at first then locks up try a shot of WD40 on the silver shaft that the carrier slides on, if it still happens the carrier motor will need some to it is located under the case in the R. rear.

How to solve a problem with an IBM Wheelwriter 10 Series ll Model 6783

It is most likely a bad keyboard. You can try my fix under WW1000 or contact Geo. Beyers Co. for a rebuild.

Show me where the solenoid is on the IBM Wheelwriter 10, Series II typewriter

If you are asking about the print solenoid. Remove thr ribbon, below the ribbon just inside thr L. printer frame. It's about an inch & 1/2 in diam. and about 3/4 inch thick and silver.

My IBM WW 10 is locked up. When it is urned on it sets up but then the 1, 1 1/2, 2, & 3 lights just blink and you can do nothing else. Do you know of a way to re-set this problem?

It is probably a board or keyboard. Try this, remove the batteries, turn off, wait 30 sec, restart, this sets everything to default settings.

My ibm wheelwriter 15 series II TYPEWRITER HAS FLASHING LINE SPACING LIGHTS 1, 2 &3 WHAT SHOULD I DO TO REMEDY THIS CONDITION

Rattling the brain cells...., I think tyhis used to happen when the print wheel was bend and couldn't roate freely, check the daisywheel hasn't any bent arms and that ribbon or corection tape are not stopping it from spinning, ensure it is locked in place, try another whell if you have to ensure.

IBM Wheelwriter 10 Series II 6 Beeps 1,2,3 Blinking

Check in the area where the printwheel is installed for paper or other debris. If it does the same thing with the printwheel out then it is probably a printwheel sensor.

Wheelwriter 10 Series II

Try a little light oil on the printer shaft. WD40 works well.
