SOURCE: Amana Cooling Condensing Unit fan stops spinning after 15 mins

Capacitor, dirty condencer coil causing the motor amps to run too high. But most likely worn bearing on blade side of motor causing it to pull to one side causing it to over heat and shut down. Sleve bearings should have no side play.

SOURCE: Amana Cooling Condensing Unit fan won't kick on

be aware that not repairing this asap that you are causing yourself more problems First I would change out the fan capacitor and see if this could be the problem. Secondly if the capacitor isn,t the problem change out the motor . By continuing to allow the system to cycle like this the compressor will take a dive on you costing more . Good Luck

Testimonial: "Yes, it's dual run capacitor problem. I used a stick to spin the fan blades and it starts to slowly spin and up to normal speed, so motor is good."

If the freezer is not freezing. I am guessing that the refrigerator is not cold also. Here is link to an Amana Refrigerator Not Freezing. You will need to narrow down parts that are working and are not working. I would first pull the refrigerator out to make sure that the compressor and the condenser fan are running(the condencer fan motor runs to cool the compressor down). This is a link to a GE refrigerator condenser fan motor problem. The compressor and condenser fan motor are in the same place. This can give an idea at least where it is at. Make sure that the evaporator fan motor in the freezer is running also. Make sure that the rear freezer wall is not iced over. This can be a defrost problem. See what a defrost problem is HERE. If your unit is sitting there with the lights on but you hear no noise from any fan motor or your compressor. Your unit may be in a defrost mode. Locate your defrost timer. It looks as tho it is either located in the front behind the kick plate or in the back by the compressor. Here is a link to your units diagrams http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Amana-Parts/Refrigerator-Parts/Model-SQD23VW-P1315302WW/1268/0165000/P9060266/00011?componentDescription=&brandDescription=&searchTerm= or http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Amana-Parts/Refrigerator-Parts/Model-SQD23VWP1315302WW/1268/0165000?searchedModel=sqd23vw&blt=11 . My Black Amana sxs Model SCD25JPW Fridge isn't cooling. Both sides are hot

OK, lets try a couple of things before you run out and buy a new unit. On that unit I believe the defrost thermostat is on the front bottom of the unit. Turn the little dial til it clicks and tell me if the unit kicks on.

My amana window ac is blowing condesation out the vents. it is still cooling..is this a problem

There is a condensation drain on the unit that is probably plugged. It is natural for air conditioning units to produce condensation as the evaporator coil (the coil/fins that make the air cold as a fan blows air across it ) is much colder than the outside air temperature ( usually between 38 and 55 degrees depending on the unit ). There is a basin or tray at the bottom of the unit that catches the condensation as it drips off the evaporator coil, and there is a drain that allows the water to drain form the unit. If this becomes plugged the water will build up and eventually drip out of the vents of the unit. http://www.air-conditioning-and-refrigeration-guide.com/air-conditioning-circuit-and-cycle-diagram.html
In the image, air is blown across the coil in the bottom left section of the picture ( this is the "cold' coil). Condensation can form on this.

2 problems.. AC Comp cuts out. And Fan will not stop.

Unit#2 -Sounds like the contacts on the master switch are welded closed or the switch is broken, Replacing the switch should fix this unit.
#1 is a little more difficult to diagnose. The compressor is being taken off line by a circuit that protects the compressor from damage either; 1- liquid refrigerant getting back to the compressor which can be caused by something as simple as a clogged return air filter or evaporator coil on a heat pump or 2- overload situation caused by a bad condenser motor or a clogged condenser coil. The first thing you need to do is clean both coils and replace the filter,. Then check to be sure your getting good airflow across both coils. I think it's most likely an airflow issue I hope this resolves the problem GL!
