Hi bhakti_cadie
Yes this unit is compatible with Windows 7. I have no exact idea of the cable price but it's not expensive .
You can find the driver here if you need it :

Compatible for windows 7 my driver is not compatible for windows 7

If you buy something that says compatible with windows 7 and it makes no mention of 64 bit anywhere it usually means they are saying it is compatible with the 32bit version of windows 7. Is your windows 32 or 64 bit?

Important Information about setting up your printer

Hello Everyone I’m Nathan. Remember before buying a printer

First and foremost, check if that printer is compatible with the Operating system that you have. A lot of people look for cheaper printers which is a good idea but, the driver's aren't compatible with the Operating system for example.

You have windows 7 and you just bought a very nice printer and on the label box says, Only for windows Me, XP , and Vista.

OK... Fine then you go ahead and look for the driver's online at the manufacture's official site. And guess what... They don't make the driver for windows 7 that means you won't be able to use the printer and might have to sell it and buy a new one according to the compatibility.

Remember to review your computer expecifications and the printer's compatibility believe it or not a lot of people run into this problem especially if it’s a used printer.

Just got a new HP Pavilion desktop. HP support tells me my 7210 all-in-one is not longer supported and cannot be installed to work with the new desktop. Printer is 5 years old but works perfectly. Do I...

Sorry to inform you, but it appears that the printer is not compatible with Windows 7, which i think is installed in your new computer. I have checked the HP's website and they have not listed any drivers for Window 7 for this printer.
It does not mean that, we can't try to install it in this computer. Windows 7 has a very good feature called Troubleshoot Compatibility mode, in which we can try to install those drivers in the computer which are compatible with the older version of the Windows.

Hi,

The answer is YES. The printer is compatible with the PC you are purchasing. The printer box comes along with Software disk for printer to be installed on WIN XP, VISTA and Windows 7.

There should not be any compatibility problems.

I purchased a Windows 7 lap top. Is this printer compatable with this?

While your model is not on the list of compatible PSC printers on the HP website, you may as well try anyway. No harm and the 1200 is listed, just not the 1210. Good luck:)

Where can Iget drivers / software to use my RX620

Windows 7 will install its own driver for your Epson printer. If you have connected the USB cable, disconnect it for now.

With your computer on, power on your printer. Now plug in the USB cable. Win7 will automatically install a driver for your printer.

The Win7 compatible TWAIN driver and Epson Scan Utility software can be download from Epson support:

Be sure to choose the file(s) for your Win7 version.

It is compatible according to the Win7 compatibility Center. If you have any problems, check your cables or network settings.

Is HP Printer #842C not usable with Windows 7?

To some degree they are correct. Your printer is NOT Windows 7 compatible. However that does not mean that some of the functions may not work. According to HP it can be made to partially work with W7. However for the price of new ink cartridges for this old printer which you may or may not ever get to work correctly, you can buy a brand new printer that will work with W7 and be superior to the printer you now have. From my experience with old printers this may very well be your best solution but it is your choice. I personally would just buy a new pinter. Here is what HP say's about this issue: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01874792&lc=en&dlc=pt&cc=pt&lang=pt&product=60426

I am going to buy a new laptop operating windows7 are there upgrades to the software for my pixima ip6600d,i450 printers + my 440F scanner or must I buy 7profesional

Your printers will work with Windows 7 right away -- the drivers for these two models are part of the Windows 7 package. You can download an 'add-on' module from Canon's web site that will give you the full features of the original drivers, basically the items on the 'Effects' tab in your current printer setup window.

Canon also has a Windows 7 driver for the 4400F scanner, but you will have to download that from Canon's web site here.

You can see Windows 7 compatibility information for Canon's consumer products here.
