Question about Microsoft LifeCam VX-3000 Web Camera

Black Screen on LifeCam

When I look at what my webcam is viewing their is a black screen.

How do I fix it?

    me 2... and the first time i download it work well... the rest of the days i just see a black screen. It says that it's used by another application or another user. Help please!

    Same issue, it was working fine for the first couple months, then one day just randomly wouldn't show anything. The screen was all black and I couldn't change the settings. And of course I lost the installation cd since I had no issues the first 2 months.

Camera only shows a very blurred picture. please help.


This should be an easy fix:

While viewing yourself with the webcam on, rotate the black plastic ring on the front of the camera right or left until you see a clear picture.

Webcam ain't working just a black screen


Make sure you are not using the camera with any other application. Change the screen resolution of your computer to 800 X 600 Reboot the computer It should work normally.

Black Screen


Normal 0 Try disconnecting the Camera from the USB port and reinstall the CD software program. When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.

When broadcasted, people cant see me on my webcam but i can see myself


I using msn it sometimes stuffs up.
try unplugging camera rebooting then plug camera in you should have found new hardware popup bottom of screen if it does not need to reinstall drivers
