How to install driver

Dear Friend, All the models of Canon comes bundled with the Driver CD.
you may insert the disk into your CD/DVD Drive.
wait for the autorun to splash, else go to my computer and open the Corresponding cd/dvd drive.

I have the all-in-one Hp officejet 6210 and I was able to scan all of the sudden it says I have to install or run device software and I have done that already and it won't allow me to scan. What can I do... says to install or RUN device software...have you tried to run the software program? Try to open it up, and see if you can scan from the program. If that doesn't work, I would reload the CD and try again. Could be a problem with the CD, officejet, or computer driver, but it sounds like the computer driver is failing to work, which is why I recommend reloading it. Good luck...hope this helps.

New Acer 5810T laptop but DVD & CD's do not work, What settings do I need ? Any help will be appreciated. Gordon Ball

You shouldn't need anything special. Do you see the drive in My Computer? (Or "Computer" if you're using Windows 7.)
Try different things. Try a known good music CD, a known good data CD, not blanks, not DVDs. Can you play or read data from them? If not, you need to take it back to wherever you bought it and have them look at it.
Are you certain the drive is a DVD drive? If you can read data or music from CD's and not from DVD's then the drive is fine, and all you need is the software to play DVD's. There should be a disc in the original packaging.
It sounds like you can't do any of these things. If that's the case, I'd definitely bring it back and have them check it or get a new one.

Hope this helps you! Please leave a rating if so!

Tried to install CD-ROM CD for a new Canon MP620 printer but nothing comes up on the screen. How do I get it to come up on my screen so I can install the printer

Either the CD is not being read correctly or you have autorun turned off. First try to access the CD from Windows Explorer (My Computer (XP) or Computer/Libraries on Vista/Win7). If you can open the contents of the CD, look for an executable file with a name like Setup or a .msi installer.

If your CD can't be read, try looking for the drivers and other software here:
Plug in your OS in the drop-down menu and install the files after downloading them.

You can check if autorun is off in the Control Panel under Hardware and Sound - Autoplay. The Device Manager will tell you if there are any problems with the drivers for the device.

I hope this helps.

My Laser printer prints lines or streaks on every paper

The questions sound like they came out of a A+ exam.
You did not provide enough information to accurately troubleshoot your issues. The following solutions are my first assumptions based on what you've typed.

1. Clean the printer. Usually caused by dirty drum, toner cartridge, rollers. Could also be caused by faulty drum. More details to resolve better
2. Check printer for paper, check tray settings in printer defaults under printer and fax settings, if it is a special function in word such as a mailout, check printer tray settings under mailout. Also check to ensure proper paper size is specified in word.
3. When booting computer, press F8 BEFORE it gets to the Windows XP splash screen, then select "Safe mode" or "Enable VGA mode", log into windows and check your display settings for you graphics adapter. This can be found in the control panel. Try setting it to a lower resolution. Check to make sure you have the proper VGA drivers installed.
4. Floopy cable is most likely connected wrong, Open chasis and flip connector that connects to back of floppy disk drive.
5. Printers printing jibberish is usually caused by incorrect printer drivers being installed. Download printer drivers from manufacturer's website, uninstall old drivers and reinstall new drivers.
6. Lots of reasons for bad DVD burning. Uninstall/reinstall buring software. you can download a free dvd recording software from If that works, perhaps your current DVD Burning software is not compatible with Vista. May also be faulty media or drive.
7. Windows XP Installer probably doesn't have the drivers built in for your specific SATA controller. Determine the SATA chipset by looking at the card (if it is a card) or looking on the motherboard to determine the motherboard brand and model. go the the motherboards site to download newer drivers, copy to CD and during Windows XP CD boot, press F6 when prompted to specify SATA drivers from the CD. You will need to extract the drivers from a compressed state (if applicable) before burning to the CD
Failure to detect a drive can also be caused by faulty hard drive.
8. If the comptuer just reboots without warning, probable cause is bad capictors on motherboard. Open chasis and look at the cylinder towers on the motherboard. Check for tops that are beveled or seeping a thick substance. If you see beveled capictors or electrolyte coming out, the caps are bad. Unless you are an electrician, you will need to replace the board to resolve this issue.
9. Check for power on speakers, ensure speakers are plugged into proper jack on sound card, in control panel, check to ensure volume is turned up loud enough. Check the device manager to ensure sound card drivers are properly installed and there are no issues with the device.
10. Not enough info to diagnose, change your subent to or change the IP of you computer to

It sounds that there is a possible hardware failure concerning CD/DVD guide cover. We can try this to resolved that issue:

1. Turn off the printer.
2. Close & open the CD/DVD guide cover for three times and make sure that the CD/DVD tray is not inserted.
3. Close CD/DVD guide, Turn the printer on. If printer is ready, press the maintenance button.
4. Try printing again.

If the above step wont resolved that issue your printer may need to send to a nearest Epson Authorized Service Center.

My cd/dvd player dont work right

If your cd/dvd player doesnt work right after installing a Epson cx4800 model printer on your computer, specifically with the Vista OS, its due to reported issues with the cx4800 printer drivers conflicting with drivers tied to your cd player..supposedly.

Best advice is to uninstall the cx4800 software/drivers and see if your cd/dvd player works right. once confirmed it does, then try to get the windows os to automatically detect and install the cx4800 printer without using the printer drivers that came with the printer.

If after uninstall the printer drivers and your cd/dvd player still doesnt work properly....need likely to reinstall the cd/dvd drivers ..but that can be another ugly problem as for finding the right ones to reinstall.
