Check for updates or just update adoe flash player
Adobe Flash Player allows users to view videos made with Flash, a common online video format that can be viewed by both Mac and PC users.

Because technology is consistently emerging, Adobe frequently updates its Flash player. Downloading an update is free, and may be required in order to watch videos online.

You will need at least 128 MB of RAM available on your computer to update Flash player, and Internet Explorer version 6.0 or later for Windows XP, version 7.0 or later for Windows Vista and Internet Explorer 8.0 or later for Windows 7.

Open Internet Explorer and navigate to Adobe's Flash player download site.
Click the download link and follow the instructions on your screen.

Click "Allow" or "Install" if your security system asks if you want to download the file.
Avoid running other programs while the download is going on.

Flash player tests itself by showing you a brief video when the download is complete.
If you do not see this video, the player has not been successfully installed and you must try the download again.

Adobe activex flash player does not work.it did download, but Ican't get it to work.I have vista & explorer 9,I tried everything on the adobe site.

Try uninstalling the flash player first then visit the website:

https://ninite.com/

Scroll down to the section called "Runtimes" and click on "Flash (IE)"

Then Scroll all the way down to the bottom and click on "Get installer"

Download the .exe file and save it on your desktop

Run the installer, remember to close your browser first.

After it installs close the ninite program and open IE (internet explorer) again and visit a website that requires flash (like youtube)

Since most of the games require Java runtime library or Adobe flash to work I would advise you to install the Adobe Flash player and Java runtime library on Internet Explorer.
a. Update Flash player and Java Flash:
I would recommend you to update the Adobe flash-player from the website below:
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
b. Also download and install the Java Runtime library from link below:

I can't download adobe flash player, I think it has something to do with my flash card witch is not working either I downloaded various things from toshiba site BIOS, Utilities, and a flash card compatible...

If you have problems installing Adobe Flash Player, follow the troubleshooting steps below. If one step does not correct the problem, move on to the next step. After each step, you may want to restart your machine to ensure that your changes take effect before moving on to the next step.

Uninstall all previous versions
Before you install Flash Player for any Windows browser, uninstall all previous versions. For instructions on removing the player, please see "How to uninstall the Adobe Flash Player plug-in and ActiveX control"
at this link...
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html

Note:All applications must be closed before you run the Flash Player uninstaller. Quit all running applications, including all Internet Explorer or other browser windows, and all Instant Messenger clients. Check the Windows system tray carefully to make certain no applications which might possibly use Flash Player are still in memory.

After you have removed previous versions, you are ready to download and/or install Flash Player.
2. Download Adobe Flash Player Flash Player is available for download from the Adobe Flash Player Download Center.
3. Troubleshoot Adobe Flash Player for Internet Explorer Before installing Flash Player, please check the following browser settings:
Internet Explorer ActiveX settings Browser security settings should be chosen by you or by your system administrator. For single users who do not have an administrator, the Medium: Default Level allows you to view Flash content. For any Custom Level, ensure that both the "Download Signed ActiveX controls" and "Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins" options are set to "Prompt".

To change your security level:
  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. Choose Tools > Internet Options.
  3. Select the Security tab.
  4. Select Custom Level.
  5. Find the section "ActiveX controls and plug-ins".
  6. Set ' Download Signed ActiveX Controls' to Prompt.
  7. Set 'Run ActiveX Controls And Plug-ins' to Prompt.
If you are having trouble installing, make sure that your Internet Explorer security level is not set to High or to a custom level that does not allow viewing of ActiveX controls.
Windows Vista installation failure On some Windows Vista systems Flash Player may be installed, but will not display Flash content. In some cases updating to the latest Flash Player using the included utility can correct the User Account Control settings that cause this problem.
To run the utility, find your installed Flash folder:
  • Right-click C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash\FlashUtil9d.exe
The letter changes with each Flash version, so may be "FlashUtilb.exe" or "FlashUtile.exe"
  • Select "Run as Administrator"
  • Follow the steps to complete the Flash Player installation
  • Restart your computer
Computer user permissions User permissions determine whether or not you are allowed to install ActiveX controls or plug-ins. If you don't have Administrator access to Windows NT, 2000, XP, or Vista you may not be able to install Flash Player successfully. Administrative privileges are required for the Windows system registry and for the C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash folder.

Unable to install EasyLink Internet Launchpad to my computer

I posted this on Amazon earlier, where people seemed to be trying to solve similar problems:

I followed all the tips here and on other sites to no avail. This AM, I finally found the problem: I had to update the flash/activeX plugins for Internet Explorer and then it worked.

I'm a Firefox user, and things were working fine until one day, mysteriously, I started to get this "Please install Flash Player 9 and ActiveX" message when we tried to launch the Easy Link software. I had Flash Player 10 on my PC, but I followed peoples' suggestions and tried uninstalling, reinstalling, updating the browser plugins, etc. Nothing worked.

Then, thinking that ActiveX is something that helps a browser run content on a web page, I wondered if the missing ActiveX component that Easy Link was complaining about wasn't browser-specific. So I closed Firefox and Started Internet Explorer, updated the Flash Player from Adobe's website through that browser and Easy Link started working right away.

I suspect that at some point Vista did a software update (as it sometimes does) that included a new version of Internet Explorer. That version probably wasn't updated to the latest Flash plugin and started causing the problem with the Easy Link software. I didn't notice it of course because I don't use Internet Explorer. If anyone is still having the problem, I recommend opening Explorer, going to www.adobe.com and clicking the button that says "Get Adobe Flash Player". Worked for me (finally).
