The wireless switch on my HP pavillion dv7-1130us is stuck (in off position). How do I "unstick" it? I've tried almost everything.
1.If the switch slider is stuck from sliding by the laptop's case somehow, you open the laptop, and free it. Then see what transpired making this happen.
2.Upon opening the laptop, and finding that the switch itself is broken, (Mechanism inside the switch has broken), you remove the switch by unsoldering it, and then replace it.
3.You take it to a qualified computer repair shop, and have them do it.
My money is on the switch mechanism has broken inside the switch, and needs replacing.
If you need the Maintenance and Service Guide, in order to open the laptop to service this switch, here it is,
(It states -> Guide <-, but it is really a comprehensive manual, with printed instructions and illustrations. It's free, and comes directly from HP.com)

This is a PDF file download. You have Adobe Reader on your computer which uses PDF files.
After you click on the above, you may not see anything happening for up to 30 seconds. Be patient as it is downloading to your computer. You may see the first page after 10 seconds.
I advise waiting until it has Fully downloaded, before looking through it. You may break the download connection if you don't.
Should you wish to save this PDF file to your computer, (So you can view it anytime you want without having to wait for a download, and also so you can burn a copy off to a CD disk), go to the top header, and click on the Floppy Disk icon.
The Floppy Disk icon is the second icon from the left. Hovering your mouse cursor on it will briefly reveal, "Click to save this file to your computer or another location".
If you don't have your downloads set to go to your My Documents folder, (Start>My Documents), this file will go to your desktop screen. Just double-click on it to open it.
