If you set the radio pre-sets to stations and then turn off, when you turn on again are the pre-sets lost ?

If so then there is a wire that constantly keeps 12v into the radio to power the chip that stores the pre-sets, the EQ settings. Check from the manual as to what colour it is on your system, (they are usually yellow) and find a point where there is 12 Volts present even when the ignition is turned off (often easily found on the lighting switch or the ciggy lighter socket - a simple test meter is handy here) and connect the wire to that. Should solve your problem :)

p.s. When I said above "turn off" - to clarify I mean turn the key to off,not the radio !

Make sure red wire goes to an auxilliary power and yellow goes to battery.

you need to connect the red wire coming from that is not being used in the plug to the cd player then feed it through to you cigarette lighter. to find the live wire just rest the copper onto the metal and then once found it unplug the cigarette lighter there should be a ring feed the copper wire through, reattach plug it back in and you should be all set up!

My jvc kd-g300 head unit shorts out and comes back on when i turn it up louder than 20-25 esspecially if the bass is turned up

Could it possibly be a loose wire behind ur deck that connects itself when bass starts to hit? Just an idea of a possibility..otherwise check all possible fuses that could be responsible for the loss of power.

I installed my JVC KD-SX650 and it works but it will not keep the radio station settings and the clock setting once I turn my truck off and back on again, what could be the problem?

you need to make sure the yellow wire is going to a constant power source.. the yellow wire controls the clock and preset setting memory.

Your memory wire isn't hooked up correctly. Your memory wire is possibly hooked up to your ignition wire. Take them apart, and find a constant power supply to hook up to your memory wire.

You need to have the yellow wire from the stereo connected to constant battery/12 volts. That wire supplies power for the memory, if it is connected to ignition power, when you turn off the car, the power for the memory is off also.

JVC KD-SH9101 RESET06 and the front panel don't move normally

ok from what i can gather it sounds like something broke inside the unit and you might wanna replace it. Im sure you can find a much better radio really cheap. I had a similar JVC model and it gave me headaches. I think you will love this model instead. Trust me its soooo much better and priced really well for its capabilities.

I can't figure out how to adjust the bass on the JVC KD-HDR30.

Hello hawk713, Like with many other JVC receivers, adjusting the bass is done from the "EQ" (equalizer) mode for one or all of 6 presets: ROCK, CLASSIC, JAZZ, HIP HOP, POPS, and USER. To adjust it, select the desired preset mode, use the left/right rocker (on volume control) to scroll to the desired frequency, 60, 150, 400, 1K, 2.4K, 6K, and 15K, and then turn the volume control up/down to set a level from -5 to +5. 60 and 150 adjusts the bass, 400, 1K, and 2.4K adjusts the midrange, and 6K and 15K adjusts the treble. Then you select whichever EQ setting sounds best with the particular music you're playing. Hope this helps.
