C353 Tray 2 cannot be used curently That's the message and that's exactly what happens. Everything else works. No paper is taken from Tray 2.

First remove the paper from behind the draws, that is probably what cause the problem. Then you need to get into service mode. Utility/counter, details, stop 00 stop 01, password 9272927292729272, system one, trouble isolate,

Find the draw causing the issue then your going "SET" then power off WAIT TEN SECONDS power on then go though the entire procedure again get to the screen and select UNSET. Power off WAIT Ten seconds power on. Your draw should show back up.
Set
• "Unset" is Default
• After changing the setting, touch [Decision] and turn the main power switch OFF and ON to make the new setting effective.

Hi, first press "Menu" button on the printer,then press cursor down" button.When You have on display "status page" Press "enter" twice. printer should print a status page.If print, then everything is okay with printer and You need just to reinstall drivers.

I've had this happen to my scx4521f a few times. I think I had too much paper in it. Or maybe it was poorly loaded paper. Take the stack of paper out and turn it around so you have no dings or dents on the inward facing side. You need to make sure that the paper is stacked evenly. Good luck. And now I will post my problem.

Dude,

If an“Out of Paper” message is shown on your computer and your printer cannot pick up paper, then follow the steps below (in the order) to resolve the problem.

Step 1:Checking the media and print settings:

  1. Remove power cord when the printer is ON, wait a while and then plug it back.
  2. Turn the printer ON.
  3. Place a Paper, which is not ripped, dusty, wrinkled, or bent.
  4. Place the papers of same size.
  5. Tap the stack of the paper.
  6. Verify the stack of paper between 10 to 25 sheets.
  7. Insert the stack of papers into the printer.
  8. Set the paper settings in the print driver.
    • Open a Document in the application, which has to be printed.
    • Click File > Print > Properties > Paper/ Quality tab.
    • In the Size Drop down menu, Select the Size of Paper.
    • In the Type Drop down menu, select Type of Paper.
    • Click OK.
  9. In the Print Dialog box, click OK to print .
  10. Try printing again.
    Note: If this step resolved your problem and you want to print on another media, change the paper in the unit, repeat steps 2 to 7 above for the new media.

This is sort of scenario is usually caused by dust inside the printer. Dust has a way of preventing the sensors from detecting paper. Also it prevents the rollers from having a firm grip on the paper while picking paper. Sometime one side grips well and tries to pick the paper while the other doesn't resulting in a jammed. I will suggest you get a long handle brush and try to reach as far inside the printer as possible and brush (from the back and front). If you have a blower you may also use it to blow well into the interior of the printer (If you do not have a blower the brushing will still do if you do it well.) This, if properly done should do it. Brush especially the rollers etc.

4200 PRINTER Only wants to print out of tray 1


First you need to verify that tray 2 will print from diagnostics test. Use the arrow keys to scroll down to diagnostics and press arrow key, then use arrows move to paper path test and press arrow again. The default paper path test is tray 2 single copy so just select print paper path test and see what happens. If printer prints from tray 2 then we know tray 2 works and that means you either have a print driver that is forcing printing from tray 1 or your settings on the printer for tray 2 are not correct for what you are printing. Check to make sure the paper size shows correctly and make sure that the switch on the right side of the paper tray towards the back is set for standard and not custom.

I had a c353, but the same error... I walked into work and someone had left the printer with this error... after looking online and having no results, I just turned it off (the hard power switch), and turned it back on, and it found tray 2 again!

I have HP laser jet 4350dtn heavy duty printer. It is attached with thye network point. And the configuration is done on the server. Then for the client machines I install via from the server since it is...


1 of 2 things. Either the paper type and size is not set right in the printer menu for tray 2. or the physical setting in the tray are not exactly on letter. The printer is looking for letter paper and does not see it in tray 2. If you load tray 1 with paper and press the green button my guess is it will use that paer and tray. First chack to make sure the setting in the tray are exactly on letter, it uses that and little fingers on the left side to tell the printer there is letter paper in the tray.

My HP LaserJet P4015n is making a high pitched noise when I print. It is also printing very slowly.


Same thing happened to mine at work. All because the paper tray indicator was not exactly on 'letter' size.

Remove the lower tray and remove all of the paper. Insure that the 2 paper size selectors are exactly on the marks for the size of paper you are using.

My HP4015N is now running at full speed with NO ANNOYING HUM!!

Can't print faxes due to error messages


Please check rear door area for paper, can you use manual feed slot? Power off machine with all jams removed and paper loaded, then power on, can you tell us exact error message/lights that are shown in this state?
