I reset printer, still doing the same thing. Taking out the ink loader sounds complicated and the method to remove the side panels, control panet, etc are not very clear. Is this the only solution to fixing the problem? Thanks.

It also gives me the remove the tag from yellow toner, even though it is already removed and sprays black toner on the other three tops of the toner cartridges. Does that change anything? Thanks.

Hi

To reset the printer unplug it from/to the power socket and mains and let it sit without power for more then 10 minutes and then replace all the cables and print a test page. You can also clean the ink loader and print head by removing the ink loader. Please follow the below steps to remove the ink loader--
Control Panel Cover
1. Open the Exit Cover.
2. Using either your fingers or a small flathead screwdriver, loosen the Control Panel Cover on the left side, and then slide it forward while lifting up to remove it from the printer.
Control Panel
1. Remove the Control Panel Cover
2. Disconnect the two wiring harness connectors and one ribbon cable connector from the back of the Control Panel.
3. Remove the Control Panel.
Right Side Cover
1. Open the Exit Cover.
2. Remove the Control Panel Cover
3. Open the Front Door.
4. Remove the rear screw.
5. Pull forward on the latching tab located by the power plug to release it.
6. Release the front latching tab and pull out on the top to remove the Right Side Cover.

Left Side Cover
1. Remove the Control Panel Cover
2. Open the Exit Cover and Front Door.
3. Remove the rear screw.
4. Release the latching tabs and remove the Left Side Cover.
Exit Cover
1. Remove the Right Side Cover
2. Remove the Left Side Cover
3. The Exit Cover will now just lift off the printer.
Ink Loader
1. Remove the Right Side Cover
2. Remove the Left Side Cover
3. Remove the Exit Cover
4. Lift the Ink Loader clear of the chassis and hold it in position against the rear of the chassis to allow access to the connectors.
5. Disconnect the 2 connectors from the printer and remove the Ink Loader.

Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

You can just remove them and with the unit unplugged clean the area where this cartridges sit...if the issue returns then you know what to do

Will not print in color

You can find answers to your Xerox questions at www.xerox.com/support

If the machine will copy in color it should print in color.
After verifying that it will copy in color, verify your driver is capable of being switched from black and white to color. If there are no color settings then you have the wrong driver. The link above will take you to the support page where you can download new drivers.

Xerox 6180mfp repeating pattern

They are caused by a component in the toner cartridge.

Originally the cleaning roller was a plain roller, but at some time the 'bean counters' decided they could save a tiny bit of money on each cartridge by using a spiral foam roller instead. The foam also seems to be of a different type, and doesn't age well.

There are two solutions.

1. Replace the cartridge that is producing the coloured squiggle/

2, dismantle an OLD cartridge and if it has a plain (non-spiral) foam roller, swap that (along with it's supports - the new type are a different size).

Either of the above will cure the problem, but a new replacement cartridge may also show the problem in time, as it WILL have the spiral cleaning roller.

Patchy color printing, streaks and dull colors using Phaser 8200

I have the same exact problem. I just switched to a mac and the colors are awful. I tried from 3 different macs at work, trying different combinations of color profiles, settings, etc, and the colors always look completely off. Blues are magenta, bright red is a dull reddish, orange is completely brown. It looks like Xerox decided to not even try to make this aspect work with the Mac. This is on the latest Mac book Pro, running Snow Leopard, to a Xerox Phaser 8560 DN.

Streaks in prints

What I would do is remove all cartridges, wipe the belt w/clean cloth use an air can to clean the machine, check the drum on each cartridge see if there is something, it could be there was a change in Voltage and it burnt the drums. change 1 more toner cartridge to see if that color goes away, if it does then you will know if the drums are the problems.
I've had a problem w gen toners doing the exact same thing, so I had to OEM and it went away. Good luck>
