Switch ON the PC, boot the PC in 'Safe Mode' by continuously tapping F8 button after you switch On.

Let windows boot in Safe Mode and log in to windows.

Go to 'Start'--->Programs--->Accessories--->System Tools--->System Restore

Here you will have to check "Restore computer to an earlier time' and click Next
Now you will find one Month Calendar window with Dates below, go to the previous month by clicking the '<' sign in the upper left hand corner of the Month Calendar and select any date that you see in Bold.

The detail of that particular date should show "System Checkpoint" and time on the right hand side box. Select that date.

Now, Click on Next and System Restore will start and windows will take a reboot.

After reboot

Go to 'Start' and then Run
write "msconfig" inside Run tab and press 'enter'
inside the 'System configuration utility' window click on 'startup' tab then uncheck all the applications except your current antivirus and press apply then 'ok' and then 'exit without restart' option.

Now right click My Computer and go to properties tab.
click 'Advanced' tab then under performance menu click on 'settings'
go to 'Advanced' click on 'change' and increase your virtual memory to 2048 in both spaces.

Now,Just do the following steps and your issue will be resolved.

1) Delete all unwanted data from Drive C.

2) Delete all data that you have copied from Drive C to External HDD

3) Open My computer and go to Tools---> Folder Options---->Click on View Tab----> Check 'Show hidden files and folders' and select OK.

4) Go to C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp and Delete everything that you see inside Temp Folder

5) Go to C:\WINDOWS\ here you will find folders like $hf_mig$, here you will have to Delete all the folders starting and ending with $ sign.

6) Empty Recycle bin and restart the PC and your issue will be resolved.

If you feel that my answers have helped you getting solution to your problems then please give a vote.

Hi! the built-in camera in my laptop msi cr420 doesn't work... and cannot find it also in my devices and printers please help me...

Here is a link to your cams software directly from msi
http://www.msi.com/product/nb/CR420.html#/?div=Utility&os=Win7%2032

Before installing your software you should uninstall your old webcam driver and let the computer download the driver for you.
To do this go to the start menu on your computer and right click on computer and select properties. once the properties screen pops up click on device manager on the left. Find your webcam driver, right click it and select uninstall. after you have uninstalled it at the top of that screen you will see action, click that followed by scan for hardware changes...follow the prompts, install your new software, restart your computer and you should be good to go. If you have any problems or questions leave a comment on this thread and i will help you out.

Hi, i have a msi cr420 windows 7 starter os and i cant use my bluetooth, do i need to download a bluetooth driver?

Johan, If the BT is an add on dongle then you do need a driver for it, while if it is inbuilt and the laptop came with Win 7 as operating system then you need to find the BT icon in Control Panel and re configure it. Please do that.

My msi laptop(cr420),have a webcam but it doesn't work and my wifi are not working too.

In Windows, click the Windows Icon (start), then click Control Panel.
Change "View By" to small icons, then choose device manager.
If you see yellow triangles with "!" in them next to items, then you are most likely missing device drivers for them.
You can visit MSIs support center to download the correct drivers for the cam and wireless adapter.
Link to your model is HERE

Webcam was not detected during installation of windows 7 on MSI Core i3 CR420. anybody who driver for it. Tnx.

~To download the manufacturers and therefore the correct drivers or specific software;

Always get your drivers from the manufacturer of your Laptop, Notebook or Desktop.

If you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, usually one is able to download if available, by model number, All available Driver downloads as required.

If the driver is not available, perhaps your manufacturer does not support the OS you are installing.

This is the best way of ensuring up to date drivers for your system and they are free of charge!

I hope this helps.

  • first a fall un-install the web camera software from your laptop...
  • Then check the whole system as virus security
  • Then resart it
  • Then install msi web camera software itself...
  • Then check it working or not..
  • If it not means go to www.msi.com
  • And enter your model name
  • Enter what you want the cam driver...
  • then install it and resart your system immediately
  • Then it worked clearly try it..
  • Thank you...
