My unit does not go on. I press the on button and hear it then 10 sec pass hear it but it doesn't light and red light doesn't go on and then it shuts off

tep 1: Check the thermostat
  • Make sure that your thermostat is set to "cool" and not "heat" (if it's set to heat, your AC won't turn on no matter what).
  • urn the temperature setting 5 degrees below the current temperature to see if your AC will turn on.
  • No good? Then you need to...
tep 2: Check the air filter
  1. Find your return vent's filter (the return vent is where air gets sucked into the air conditioner).
  2. Check to see if the filter is dirty (if you can barely see light coming through it, it's too dirty).
  3. Change the filter if it's dirty.
"Wait, why am I doing this?"
A dirty air filter blocks air from returning to the AC, reducing airflow over the evaporator coil, causing it to ice up.
This causes a low-pressure switch to trip and shut down your AC's compressor (the heart of your air conditioner) to prevent it from being damaged.
So you need to change the air filter to prevent all that.

LO on Display

"LO" means lock out. This means that the heater has failed to fire, and will not attempt to do so again until it is turned off and back on.

Either the heater is getting no gas, the gas valve is not opening for any of several reasons, the signal to spark is not being sent to the ignitor, the ignitor has failed, or the heater is failing to detect that the burner has been lit. Best to get a tech on it.

My blower and ac works but I can't see the temperature in my car

Mine too. I could tap DOWN on it with two fingers to get it to come on long enough to find out 1. takes 12 sec. to go from all the way "High" to "Lo", 2. when you hit "Auto" for A.C. "Recirculate" is on, but when turn fan down, (disengaging the "Auto" to Manual) the Recirculate goes off and has to be manually turned back on. That should be enough to get you controlling your climate blind.

How do i turn it on for the first time

hi there'
turning ac on,there are two switch on control panel of ac.find the thermostat control this signifies the room temperature you want, set this first to a maximum setting.another switch is for the motor compressor and fun motor.rotate the switch to fun first after a couple 15 second rotate again the switch to lo cool setting w8 for 10 to 15 sec. then rotae it again to hi cool there will be a sudden heavy change of blwing air and cooling effect then rotate set the thermosat switch to temperature comfortable to your feeling, observe the cycling process, because the compressor motor stop if the room temperature reached the set up temperature.stopping or switching off just rotate the switch of the compressor motor on off position.have a nice day fix my rate thank s a lot.

Unknown 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid Button

The ECO HEAT/COOL button of your hybrid functions to reduce the consumption of electricity thus, a reduction of fuel consumption. An indicator 'ECO' appears on the air conditioning display to indicate that the mode is on. Of course, with the ECO HEAT/COOL on it'll take longer than the usual amount of time for the temperature to reach its normal or standard set temperature.

Your ECO HEAT/COOL mode won't function if your temperature control is set at 'LO" or 'HI" or if the air flow is in the "floor/windshield mode" or "windshield mode".

Hope this helps.

Volvo v50 2005 climate control puts out heat on driver's side and windshield when AC is on or temperature control is at low. Passenger side puts out cold air. Both sides of climate control are set at low.

I had the same problem. AC computer forgot where the adjustment flaps are.
- Start the car.
- Press Auto button on the AC (if you have this option)
- Increase fan speed (make shure it is not on minimmal setting)
- Decrease the temperature setting to the minimum -> "Lo"
- Wait about 10-20 seconds
- increase the temperature to the maximum -> "Hi"
- Wait about 10-20 seconds
- Set the temperature that you like.

With this procedure you force the AC to move the temperature regulating flaps to go to both end-positions and motors get calibrated again.

If this does not help, there must be a bad contact somewhere or the fpals may get stuck. -> repair.
