See page 7 of the manual for detailed instructions and illustrations on how to set the ring tone volume using the RING button and the rotating JOG DIAL wheel.

Basically it says to press the RING (S1) button while the phone is idle and on the hook.

The display should then show current ringer volume as: RINGER ****.

Then just rotate the JOG DIAL wheel in either direction to increase or decrease the ringer volume.

See page 4 of the manual for a labelled diagram of all the various buttons on your phone.

The RING button is labelled (S1) on that diagram and is the middle button directly under the display.

I hope that was helpful to you.

Good luck and take care.

Ring tone changed tonight--it is too loud and awful.

The Ringer ID, Light Up ID, Picture ID and Custom Ringer settings cannot be assigned via the software, nor backed up, restored or transferred to another handset.
3. The USB connection cannot be plugged in while the phone is being charged - it is also physically impossible to do so. Kind of dumb given the USB connection sucks a lot of battery power.

4. In fact the USB should plug in to the base/charger so the phone is instantly connected (like a PDA) once docked, with two-way synchronisation. This is not as important though, as #2 above.

5. It is possible (as I learnt the hard way) to inadvertently wipe out the existing phone book and all its hard fed Ringer ID, Light Up ID, Picture ID and Custom Ringer settings merely by attempting to add new entries thru the software without first retrieving the existing entries from the phone. On the positive side, re-sending the same entries does not overwrite the already set up Ringer ID, Light Up ID, Picture ID and Custom Ringer settings.

Ringer off, need to re-install ringer. volume control does not put ringer back on

To turn your ringer back on, you do the following. For your handset, you push Menu, scroll to ringer settings, then push select, Press select again for ringer volume, then scroll up to turn on and increase the ringer volume. Then press Save once its at the desired volume. To change your base ringer, while it is not in use, push the ringer up button until you hear the desired setting. That should fix your problems.

Phone ringer has turned off following a power outage.

I am assuming you have a Strata VIe system with this phone. I added a website below with all the program manuals. If you have a DK system please look at program 81 to get ringing back. I dont know the programming very well on the Strata VIE systems.
