Question about Dell Inspiron 1525 Notebook
I went to Best Buy asked which hard drive would fit, came home took the back plate off that was over the hard drive.I had to unscrew 2 tiny screws to open the panel. My laptop had one more screw holding the drive in.I used a screwdriver and a pronged tool from Radio Shack to finish taking that screw out.The drive should pull straight back if not move it side to side just a bit.Put the new one in replace the screws and the panel and then install new operating system and your good to go.

On the underneath side of the notebook there should be two screws that are usually labeled with a picture of a drum. Remove tham and the drive should slide out. Remove the drive from the tray you slid out and reverse procedure to re-install.

open your my computer, click on "c" the system will tell you the information is hidden, click on the link and open up the operating system and look in the drivers or there in C and se if you can find you web cam driver, when you find it you might have to force the opening of the driver to install, and once you do that plug your web cam in and see if the system see's it and installs the drivers for the cam, if you installed the driver origanally witht he web cam installed you will have to remove the web cam and unistall the driver and re install it and then plug the web cam back in, and that should help correct the problem.

ok, theres a small issue with the raid controller. You have to install a 3rd party raid driver (its on the dell cd) to continue, OR, you can set that BIOS's hard drive controls to ATA or LEGACY (legacy would likely work best, but youd have no 'raid' functions, but who sets up raid drives on a notebook?). Your last option is use the dell discs to restore, and inssert the windws disc when prompted

Testimonial: "Thank you so much! It didn't have a option for Legacy, but only RAID and ATA. But it's working!! You are super awesome!! Thank you!!!"
