My maytag electric dryer #MDE9606AYW will not start, fuses and switches seam to be fine

There can be many reasons why your dryer will not start or turn...

The most common causes are the belt breaking or jumping off, or the motor going bad...

either relay board or the door switch. did he test the door switch?

The most common reason it wont run or start is because the door switch has failed or came loose, Then there is a belt sensor that turns off when the belt comes loose or breaks. If the fuse you are talking about opens, the issue will be no heat but it will run

Need new rollers inside. Drum needs to come out to fix it.

it is very semple just follow this diagram and will be simple.

Unplug the dryer, open up the top panel. check if the belt is broken . replaced it.

Good to know, when the appliance does not start at all is always thermal fuse, wiring, door lock switch, or rarely the control assembly.

the start button activates a realy inside the control panel
the relay latches to supply heavy current to motor and heater, until door switch or timer switch break the latching circuit
If relay is on its last legs, it could be causing delay in starting, not closing secondary
the relay is represented by the dashed switches at the right of this maytag wiring diagram, note that it has no relevance to physical position of components
the relay in maytags looks like this
, but may be opaque, and mounted vertically (pic left is up)

Possibly a door switch, or starting switch near timer assembly. it could also be a bad breaker, dryers have a double breaker, even if you are getting electricity to part of your dryer 1 bad breaker might not let the rest of the dryer work. With electrical experiance,and elect. tools, have some one test breakers and plug voltage.
