There are three things that most often contribute to not stitching properly: top tension, bottom tension and the needle.

If the top tension is too loose it can not draw the bobbin thread up. If the bobbin tension is too tight it can't come up either but in that case it usually breaks the thread. If the needle is in wrong or is the wrong size or type it also won't make the stitch.

Even when you think all those things are correct the best thing to do is unthread the machine and rethread it again checking the tension when you do. Then pull out the bobbin and check that it is pulling out with enough tension but not too much. Make sure the bobbin is inserted correctly. You should hear/feel a slight click when it's in proper place.

Try swapping the needle.

If you've done all these things and it's not sewing at all then there's the possibility that the machine itself has a problem but most often it is from one of those three things.

My top stich is tight, but bottom is loose of my singer sewing machine.

Think in opposites... the top stitch is formed by the bottom thread tension and the bottom of the stitch by the top. So either the bobbin thread is too tight or the top thread is too loose. Check the bobbin thread first as that is the one most overlook. It should come out of the bobbin without having to yank it hard but it should have a little resistance.

Singer industrial tacking machine model 269W8 Having tension problem because of the tension discs....threads get stuck in there no matter how I try to adjust it...and right now I am having that...

Maybe, you can try, rethread, now with the presser foot up, pull on the top thread, it should pull smoothly, then lower the presser foot, pull on the top thread again, it should barely move. This sometimes will seat the thread in the tension discs. Hope it works for you, otherwise you will have to have it serviced by a professional

My machine does not want to stitch together it tangles all up in the bottom its not the bobbin

It has to be in your top threading, maybe the thread is tangled, slipped out of a guide, or your needle. If, you cannot find it call Singer at 1-800-4singer and talk to Customer service. Good luck, I hope it is something simple and not costly.

Simple solution..
take the thread off your machine, set your tension to the middle setting. rethread your machine up to the needle. before threading the needle, put your presser foot down. If your thread pulls hard, then the machine is threaded right. If it pulls easily, you need to chead the thread thru the tension wheel.

Rule of thumb.
Loops on the bottom, problem on the top.
Loops on the top, problem is on the bottom.

Stitch is uneven, not straight, and tension off on top and bottom

on my industrial machine this was caused by the wrong size needle. the length was off just a fraction. just an idea, in case you bought generic needles or something.
