The memor card is getting corrupted, have you tried formatting it as this should fix the problem. Format this on the camer and not on the computer.

What type and size memory card? The SD630 works with SD cards, 2GB or smaller. It will not work with higher-capacity SDHC cards.
If you are using an SD card, have you tried formatting it?

Canon SD630 any sd card i put in it over 2gp says memory error

The SD630 works with MMC and SD cards, which max out at 2GB. Larger cards are actually SDHC cards and will not work in the SD630.

Is there a size limit for the memory card for the SD630. I put a 4 GB one in it, and it say memory card error

This camera only supports up to 2GIG or memory card so that's the reason why the 4 GIG wont work with it....

LCD shows MEMORY LOCKED even thought card is NOT LOCKED!

Go thru all the pages on the camera setup in the camera. You may find a memory lock conrol. That is there to keep you from accidently erasing photos.

Camera will not power on with a memory card installed.

1. Try another memory card and contact the memory card manufacturer 2. The PowerShot SD630 requires repair service.

Not reading my memory card

You may have bent or broken contacts inside the card slot. It's tough to see, but if you look deep inside the slot, you may notice a contact bent or broken. If you're not able to see any damage inside, try taking a cotton swab with some alcohol (isopropyl, not rubbing or drinking type), and cleaning the contacts.

Problem with photos - Canon PowerShot SD630

It sounds to me you have a CCD issue, which is the part of the camera that captures and converts the image to be digitally saved to your memory card (very overly simplified for the sake of diagnostics).
If you can see your menus and everything else just fine on the camera, and the photos and live view are looking like that, then I would say you have a CCD issue. You might try to send the camera in to Canon for a repair, or if its under warrenty, even bettter!
