Seals but won't draw all the air out. Seals fine

That could be a bad foam seal not completing suction, A piece of debris that got sucked into vacuum line and or in pump, or in some cases a crack in a elbow or pump housing.

Model 3750-D. Why does the hose get plugged after vacuuming a carpet area of about 10 X 12?

1. The hose may be partially clogged when you start

2. The hose may be collapsing

3. The carpet may be shedding excessively

4. You may have an animal in residence that sheds excessively

5. The actual clogging may occur where the hose discharges into the bag or container

The eureka model # 4703D does not **** although the motor is running

The vacuum cleaner probably is clogged. Look especially in the opening behind the roller and follow the path to the bag/container. If you have a pet that sheds, you can clog a vacuum quickly

My Hoover Steam Vac model f5915-900 no longer heats the floor to reduce drying time. I have cleaned the bottom of the machine where it says "heated cleaning." Anything else I can try? Thanks.

The SteamVac blows warm air from the motor into the carpet to help loosen oily types of soil. If the motor is running, the air will be exhausted. This system is not meant to reduce drying time, but only to enhance cleaning.

Aquamate basin pump does not work. Used it 3 times, stored it for a year and pump does not work. Looks like a reliability issue. Is this product defective for everybody? I saw an ebay listing for the...

Hmmm............ looks like the impeller is already stuck from a year w/o using it!

I suggest if u could open it and spray some penetrating oil on the bushing of the pump motror and the impeller, force the motor to turn manually to set it's rotor FREE. or just POUR some penetrating( I usually use BRAKE FLUiD ) oil in the pump and let it seat for a couple of days.

If don't have a knowhow in opening and repairing such machine, u coud bring it to ur tecnician or service center to fix that up!

Hope that helps u out!

How do I hook up my Kirby Ultimate G for upholstery shampooing?

Hooking up the foaming device simply blows foam into the job. Here is a shortcut which I find more convenient on my G4 tools. If you have the rotary upholstery shampoo kit, you can just attach the rotary tool to your hose. Then mix your kirby suds into a household spray mist bottle. If you happen to have a mist bottle with a screen on the intake straw it will foam your suds not quite as well as the kirby device, but this way you can store the suds in the spray bottle for future quick use.
kirby suds are designed to be used as foam not liquid so a foamer in the spray bottle helps the process. You do not want to soak the furniture, just apply a light mist and scrub with the air driven shampoo tool on the hose. Then allow to dry and vacuum 24 hours later.

Nothing inn the canister after using, suctione working, bottom roller working,no air leaks from hoses. Also when running awhile it shuts off by itself, have to wait awhile to use again

I'm not sure what vacuum you have, but that sounds like a blockage to me. Thermal shut off kicks in, shutting the motor down, to prevent damage from overheating. After waiting like 1 hour it probably comes back on. Make sure hose, filters, bag (if any) is clean. All "airways" of vacuums need to be clear of any blockages, since airflow is what makes vacuums work.

Shampoo stairs

There is a portable shampooer/sprayer that attaches to the hose ( the long one that makes the kirby a canister vacuum). It should have come with your attachments. Looks a bit like a gun without the tank attached to the bottom...the tank screws on.

To use it you would put the fingerguard attachment on the front of the kirby where the powerhead would normally go and the hose with the portable shampooer where the bag would go.

The tank on the portable sprayer/shampooer has lines to indicate how much water and shampoo are needed.

Be sure to put the mesh nozzle (sort of a triangular shaped thing with a piece of mesh along the front that attaches to the front of the portable sprayer) on the front of the portable sprayer if you want to shampoo..otherwise it will just spray a mist. The triangular piece with the mesh screen is what produces suds.

Vacuum the furniture/stairs thoroughly before shampooing. Cover the stairs/furniture with a thick coat of suds. Once covered with suds, pop the suds into the fabric/carpet using your hands...working the bubbles into any heavily soiled areas with a soft brush. No need to vacuum after shampooing. There is only about 10 percent water to 90 percent air in the suds.

Then let it dry. 15 minutes to and hour depending on the amount of solution used. Hope this helps!!!

Power Consumption Refridgerators

I have a 10KW stik welder/generator. I have no problem running a large freezer and 2 fridges except for the startup current draw. I have a $300 transfer switch connected to a 60amp sub panel with current meters on each leg. I have to watch the current draw and turn on & off breakers. I do have to play the "green acres" game because I have the water heater, well pump, and kit ckt all connected as well. Coffee machine, toaster, oil furnace, microwave all have to take turns as well as the water heater(4500WATTS). Cost was about$3500 in 2001 and $600 for a generator shed. lots of my labor. Last time we lost power it payed for itself. 28 hours without a generator would have been a trip to a hotel and lots of spoiled food to dump. hot shower and coffee anytime a big +
