The fan on the A/C unit is not working. The unit is making a lot of noise too. The fan blade will turn by hand, but not under power.

Hello, if the motor starts by pushing it by hand with power applied then The capacitor is shot and needs to be replaced. However, if it does not then the motor is bad electrically and must be replaced.

Amana dryer LE 3402W, when pushing the start button, there is a hum and the tumbler does not start. I can push the start button as I hold in the door switch and then reach in and give the tumbler a slight...

Most likely you will end up needing a new motor for the unit I have peronally seen units like you have described with the hum sound and done the exact same thing spining the drum and then the motor catches hold and turns for a short time. The motor in this case is starting to seize up and you will have to replace the motor in the unit or it will stop turning completly. If you have any further questions message me back and please also remember when our chat has fully concluded to rank how this opinion has helped it allows me to continue helping others in similar situations in the future Thanks Rick

Air conditioner just conked out;only 3 yrs old

Is the indoor unit operating? If no turn the fan from auto to on at thermostat. If the fan comes on, that is a sign that you have 24volts
present on thermostat side.

Turn AC unit off outside, turn the thermostat as low as it will go. Open the electrical panel to the outdoor unit. There is a contactor located in the unit, push the plastic bar in the middle of contactor. If it pushes
in, you have low voltage wiring problem from the outdoor unit to the
indoor unit.

If you are skilled or know somebody that is with electrical, turn the power back on to the outdoor unit take a non conductive object and
push the contactor in, the unit may start. If it doesnt start, check the
breaker for the ac unit to make sure it is not tripped.

If the breaker is not tripped and the condensor fan comes on and the
compressor does not come on and the breaker does not trip, then it
is very possible that you will need a new capacitor and while you are
at it put in a hard start kit.

This unit according to you, still should have 2 years left on the compressor warranty.

Fan blade won't turn, but will slowly turn if given a push. What is the problem? How do I fix it?

Replace the fan motor capacitor. If that does not correct the problem you will have to replace the fan motor.

Danby 3899 Fan does not start

I'm not an AC guy, but I had a similar problem with an AC unit at home it turned out to be the motor itself. Another time it was the relay. Did you try tapping the motor when on to see it it would turn?
In my case I used to whack the motor and after a couple of times it would turn, until it just wouldn't work anymore.

I sounds to me like the motor/ brushes, since it runs after being pushed.
