I can't promise this will help but I can tell you it was the solution for me, I do however have the WNR834Bv2 router.
My lan setup consists of a win2k fil/print/sql server, two boxes in my kids room(wireless), two pcs in my bedroom(wired), and one old laptop in the living room(wireless).
Out of the blue one day the lan connectivity on the wireless machines became incredibly slow and in some cases died completely.  Rebooting would sometimes get a re-connect, sometimes not.   The wired machines were completely fine however.
After much research, the first solution *appeared* to be a master browser issue.  Basically you turn off the computer browser service on all machines which are not designated the master browser.  Research master browser for more detailed information.
I saw an immediate increase in network speed after applying this change to all machines, but not soon after, connection/speed problems returned.
In retrospect, I believe this happened because as part of my attempt at fixing the problem as a whole, I upgraded my firmware for the router to the latest version:

I say this, because once I decided to revert the firmware to the version it came with as a test, my connection and speed problems completely disappeared, and I have had no problems since.

Hello.... trying to connect to Wii shop channel and i'm getting error code 051030... unable to connect to server... I originally had my server provider hook up everything ... and I was able to access Wii...

If you think it's a connection problem, go check out the Connection Settings in the Wii settings menu. Run a connection test, and make sure your settings are correct. Re-enter your WEP key and such if you're using things like that.

Error Code: 051030

The only wireless network within range of your Wii console is not configured or is not compatible with the Wii.

* If you are getting this error after completing a system update, this is usually because the console resets to using the first connection slot after an update. There are two things you can do:

o If you know which connection file you were using before, you can select that connection file, then select "Use this connection" to change that to the default. You will need to do this each time they download an update.

o If you don't know which connection file you are using, or if you would prefer not to update the active connection file each time, try to clear, and then re-create your connection setting in slot one before doing the remaining troubleshooting.

* Check for interference that may be preventing a successful connection. Click here for tips.

* Check to see if the router you are using is a known to be incompatible. Click here to view our list. If your router is known to be incompatible, we recommend using a different router if possible.

* Make sure that the SSID (network name) matches exactly to what you have entered in the Wii console's settings. To verify:
1. Login to your router's settings (click here and select your router, if available, for information).
2. Look for the section for SSID (typically in the "wireless settings" area).
3. After you find the SSID (network name), verify in the manual settings of the Wii console that the SSID appears exactly as listed in the consumer's router. This includes making sure capitalization, spaces, or special characters match exactly.

* Look up your router, if available, in our list of wireless routers, and check for any special notes that may be necesary to get the connection to work properly.

* The router may not be assigning an IP address to the Wii console, and a connection using the "Manual Settings" may be necessary. Click here for help.

* Your router may require a firmware update to work properly with the Wii console. Firmware updates can usually be found on the router manufactruer's website; consult the manufacturer for more information.

* If the problem persists, try our general troubleshooting steps.

Wireless Channel
If there are other wireless devices in the area, they can interfere with the signal so much that the Wii console will not be able to connect to the router. Changing the wireless channel on your router may help. Most wireless routers have a channel range of 1 through 11. The best channels to try are usually 1, and 11, as they do not overlap with other channels. Typically, the channel settings for your router will be found in the router's main "Wireless" tab. =D

I have set up a password for my belkin wireless router and now when i connect it says limited access and the settings saved on this computer for the network do not match the requirements of the network

Hi Andrew,

This should be an easy one to fix. First, unplug power from the modem and the router for 30 seconds. Power on the modem first and wait one minute. Now power on the router and wait one more minute. This will remedy the limited access issue.

Now we'll fix the 'settings don't match' issue. Here's what's probably happening:

You had connected to your wireless network with no password previously and windows saved a connection to this network. Now, you are trying to connect with security enabled and windows is saying "hey, I know this network, but my saved connection doesn't have any security" need to delete the existing connection to your wireless network and then re-connect to it.

In windows 7, go to control panel and click on the network and sharing centre. now click on manage wireless networks and delete the connection to your home wireles network.

Now reconnect to your wireless network and you will be asked for the password. Enter it and everything should be good.

Please let me know if this helps. I f not, get back to me and I can help some more.

Every time i put a password on my N1 Router i lose connection and get the message: The set-up in my computer does not match the set-up of the network??????

Existing connections need to be re-validated. The prompt is a general message asking you to re-enter your password (the new one) to establich a connection to your laptop. The "set-up" that no longer matches is the lod password versus the new password. The connection should be re-established once you enter the new password. All other computers connected with experience the same message.

My computer will not connect to the internet when I hook up to the Linksys wrt150n I don,t understand It because it use to work this is about to drive up the wall I have tried resetting the router but it...

If you can connect to the Internet using the LAN cable then your Internet connection is OK.
If you are trying to connect to the Internet using the wireless connection, then your problem is the wireless settings in either the Linksys or the wireless card in your computer.
First check the wireless settings in the Linksys, ie. the SSID and encryption key.
Second check the wireless settings in the computer's wireless card, this must match the route's wireless settings. If it matched then do a Repair connection. this will get the Linksys to issue a new IP address to the wireless
If the Linksys wireless settings were changed then configure the wireless card in the computer with these new settings.

How to connect Wi-Fi on SAMSUNG 5560

Please try these instructions:
Wireless router side
  • 1. Set wireless mode to B-G Mixed
  • 2. Standard Channel = 8
  • 3. Encryption - TKIP

Phone side
  • 1. Delete the configured wireless connection/s if you already have one.
  • 2. Enable wi-fi but do not perform search at the moment
  • 3. Now open the browser and select settings then browser profiles press search for wi-fi.
  • 4. Select the connection that you want to connect to then type the details and match the settings on the router.
  • 5. Auth type = WPA, encryption = TKIP, network key = router pre-shared key, protocol = HTTP, Home URL = address of modem (you can change it later if everything is already working), leave proxy blank, linger = default, adhoc = off, no need to do advance settings.
  • 6. Save the settings and do not connect yet.
  • 7. Exit the browser and go to Wi-Fi and select the connection that you have just configured and select details.
  • 8. Check all the settings if ok. if the channel is different with the router, adjust it on the router to match the one used by the phone. IP address = not connected (it will automatically connect once you browse the internet).
  • 9. Now, try to browse the internet but you must set first the connection you've just configured as default connection.

That's it. I hope that this helps. This applies only to personal wireless network.

Internet connection, lost wireless connection. Tested all hardware, all working. Wireless network shows "disconnected" or "unplugged". Cannot "ping Have Broadcom 440 10/100 integrated...

Try and connect the router directly to a pc with a cat 5 cable, then try and load the settings page. Make sure that you do not have you SSID hidden, this is the name of your device that is broadcast. if it is hidden you have to have everything set up on the computer exactly the same (case sensative) or it is difficult to connect, you can hide it again after you establish a good connection. You may try pressing the reset button on the back. I hope this helps, good luck.

You probably typed in the router password instead of the Wireless password. Connect your PC to the router via a network cable type in your web bvrowser , login to the router and in the Wireless security section change the passphrase to something and write it down then try re-connecting via wireless after unconnecting the net cable

L2TP connection problem

Hello, I've had the electric cut off and immediately back on and I lost my connection from Wireless router to modem. I could not connect in the same way. I could access the router settings with wireless laptop and PC but not to internet on either. I bypassed the router and connected the PC computer to modem then to internet verifying with a browser. I then reconnected the computer cable back to router and router to modem. It stayed connected. But I'm not sure if you have a PC connected to the router also. Sometimes just unplugging some cables and replugging will solve problems. Hope this helps.
