How do i fix my leaky moen bathroom faucet?

Moen faucets are easy to repair. The cartridge you're looking for is most likely the #1224 cartridge, sold in pairs, and available at almost any home improvement store.

Shut the water off, unscrew the handle, remove the nut that holds the old, cartridge in, swap it out, and put the handle back. The whole job should take you about ten minutes.

Good Luck!

Moen 2 handle bathroom faucet is leaking out of base of the left handle

There is a plastic retainer not with two tabs used for removal. You will need a removal tool to get this retainer off. Any plumbing supply that carries Moen should have this tool.
After removing the retainer nut, the cartridge pulls right out. Good luck!

Moen Monticello 4-inch centerset bath faucets can be repair easily with only a screwdriver and adjustable wrench. Turn the water off to the both sides of the faucets under the sink. Open both the hot and cold-water valves to alleviate any remaining pressure. Remove the handles by grasping the base of the handle and turning it counterclockwise.( This works for both lever and cross handles). Loosen the Moen faucet cartridge bonnet nut with an adjustable wrench by turning it counterclockwise to the left. Pull the stem from the faucet by hand and replace. Reinstall the bonnet nuts and handles. Turn the water back on and test the faucet for leaks. The Moen Monticello faucet comes with a limited lifetime warranty. Try calling Moen to get your replacement parts free.

HAVE MOEN MODEL INS792A WIDESPREAD 2 HANDLE BATHROOM FAUCET - LOOSE HANDLE ON LEFT SIDE - KEPT INSTRUCTIONS (PICS ONLY) - CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO TIGHTEN LOOSE HANDLE - HELP??? THNX!

There is a cap on the top of the handle which can be removed by popping it out with a knife or a small flat tip screw driver. Inside you will see a screw which holds the handle to the faucet. Tighten this and replace handle cap.

Repair cartridge in Moen Monticello single handle lavatory faucet

After some additional experimenting, contrary to information I was previously able to gather, I discovered that the white plastic retainer doesn't (in this type of Moen faucet) actually screw off but rather is held in place by a spring clip inserted from the rear of the retainer (toward the wall side of the basing). Simply sticking a small screwdriver in the opening (approx. 45 degrees downward) and tipping the screwdriver toward the front of the faucet, snaps the spring clip out through the opening.
The plastic retainer than lifts off. Note: the flat sides on the retainer suggest that a wrench will be needed but such is not the case.
