The RDU2080d is not waterproof, it is IP rated for water resistance. This being said, the general rule with any radio which has gotten wet is to get it dry quickly. Remove the battery pack, and do not attempt to use the radio until you feel you have gotten it dry. Some methods which have worked include using a blowdryer on the radio (not battery) or placing the 2 pieces in a bowl of uncooked rice to draw out the moisture. The absolutely best thing you could do is take or send it to a radio dealer who has the ability to open the radio and assess the damage and dry it out internally.
Once the radio is thoroughly dry, it may function properly, but you will always run the risk of corrosion growing on the component board and the need for service, or slow demise of the radio.
Best regards.
