Question about Archos 605 WiFi Digital Media Player
Hey, in the process of trying to correct this issue on my own, I stumbled across your posting about this from earlier this year. Did you ever yours fully properly working again, and if so, how? I saw that you used the MS AutoPlay Repair download; what exactly did you do when using it? Did you run the program with the Archos still in PC Harddrive mode and leave it that way, or did you switch it back over to Windows Media Device when it asked you to recreate the Autoplay problem?
I think most of the problems come from the fact the archos unit gets to hot, leaving it plugged into the docking station for charging and downloads does not help. Try leaving it to cool down overnight then plug it in next day. My PC recognized it as A605 straightaway. My pc is still in hard drive mode and when plugged into the pc it recognizes it as an Archos A605 unit and can be adressed as normal.
