If it is only several weeks old, it should still be covered by warranty, and therefore you should be able to exchange it for a working one.

How to reistall drivers for KU 0841 Can donacchu1561 help me? Not!

we can never guess what you can do. ever.
do you have 2 hands:? and 2 eyes? or like me cyclops with one arm. LOL
are you running the hopeless virus magnet XP that it?
no PC stated no OS stated. just keyboard floating in space....
no statement that the internet works on PC failing.
it is at least 7 years old now. we see w7 does support it.

ok, what is this THING, I guess we must google it to learn what it is here goes..
it is only a keyboard. HP multimedia (adds only volume keys)
so is it 100% dead, you never told, the good , the bad or the ugly.
the story full.
does it fail on 2 PCs using all USB ports on an PC to make sure the KB is dead.
DEAD KB is super rare, stuck keys or dead keys common.
for example it types letter "a" endlessly, stuck "a" key
if the PC is turned on
and windows (is it?) running
and you have and internet connection the USB port now work and so do any keyboard work, via the magic of PnP plug and play
if not, try all USB ports next.
if not, still go to device manager, see if
1: usb ports are dead.
2: if keyboard is missing or shows red or yellow marks or unknown.

take keyboard is USB standard type.
only the 3 sound buttons need special HP drivers to work.
the keys most all work a-z etc.

to answer you question you not need to do anything, the drivers install automatically .
if running w7/w8/w10\
the other older OS are not supported.
all you of is be connected to the internet
the best way is 1 Ethernet cable from PC to router and magic happpens
it does

Need a driver for Keyboard KU-0841

Keyboard drivers are usually generic and are part of the operating system install. Go to the Settings/Devices and look in the list for Keyboard. Tap UPDATE. That should do it, UNLESS you have an OLD operating system.

The keyboard seems to stick on letters especially in email situation, however whenever I say it is cured then suddenly it is back, the keyboard is only 2 years old Hewlett packard model No.KU-0841 Pc City...

ok, NO PC stated, no model stated off the service tag on PC
Ok, no OS stated, no operating system stated, by you , sadly.
i will now look up you kbd spec. online. yours.
btw(bytheway): we are not HP, here, just free help..

. HP does have a real forum BTW2: ask, ?

first POST your PC model and with the OS(windows what?) they must work together as team see? the 841 is just a generic HP USB keyboard.
That Keyboard must work right on all USB jacks. did you try them all?,

did the OS, show actions/sounds installing that KBD. the sound will make a ding sound with it attached and then if on the internet you get the driver automatically using Plug and play, methods why post lacking the key facts? what PC , is it HP if yes, what model number? what OS, is it windows what, linux, or Freedos.
Tell me you are not running XP or VISTA OS, both are now dead.
Dead means also, no PnP magic, at microsoft, they turned it off.

in Europe they install many versions of the OS on PCs there, we here in gren'go land USA can not guess that ever.

Windows: (topic) only
\make sure its on the internet first. (how to do that lacking keyboard, ouch) then plug in the keyboard and for sure a USB mouse. next, using the mouse, click control panel then device manager, (more hard in XP say so if XP say so!) then see the keyboard section there click view tab and then set show hidden devices. now look here. and uninstall all keyboards seen there. first. using only a mouse. then connect THE keyboard. the PC will now be forced to use magic plug and play and the keyboard drivers are installed and now it works
best of all be internet connected or some drivers will fail.

Recap, try all USB ports. get the fresh keyboard driver now it works see?
There are other causes of failure here, OS infected, and more.
We do many tests to find it , if the above steps fail.
(we even run a live boot OS off a memory stick to see if it works)
if it does we know your windows is corrupted,
and more, ask.

This keyboard KU 0841, is just awful. is there another one that would be compatible with my HP Pavillion slimlline ? Either letters are missing or exstra letters appear in the words. I have always been a...

Not me, I love the keyboard.

But then, I have always liked "flat" laptop-like keyboards. They have lighter action and the transition from a desktop a laptop is much smoother. BTC also makes a scissor-action keyboard that is very similar to this one.
