Bob the Builder Ride On 6 volt battery Scrambler I have lost the manual. Can't figure out how to charge the battery. Is there a manual available on line? Perhaps I need a whole new battery...how do I replace it? I am the Grandma and the toy is at my house... Thank you for any help you can give me.

How long will it take to charge?

It depends on what your charger is putting out, if you have a charger that puts out 1amp and a 6volt 4.5 amphour battery then it will take appox 4.5 hours, check the output on the sticker of the charger and make sure that it lists 6-7.2 volts, then if you can check the charger with a multimeter and make sure that its showing 6-7.2 volts

How do you charge the 12 volt battery with a 6 volt charger

  • A 6 Volt charger will charge a 12 Volt battery, it will just take twice the time to get the 12 Volt battery to full charge as a 12 Volt charger would take. V*I=W. It will take up to 36 hours to get a full charge from near dead but it will work just fine.

I have a 2007 street bob took it out of basement charged battery and started right up.now bike wont even turn over battery had over 12 volts starter checked out alright replaced batteries in fob cant...

I can't figure out whether your problem is with the bike or the security system. I have no experience with security systems and don't have a clue. I'd take the battery out of the bike and take it somewhere to have it "load tested". Just because a battery shows 12 volts with a meter doesn't mean it's any good. Put a load on it (like the starter does) and you may find that it's a piece of junk. If it won't start then, I'd suspect the security system has it locked out. Sorry I can't help with that but I'm an old school biker and I don't mess with security systems.

Good Luck
