The re-order number on the ribbon you need is SWS1009, 7000 series ribbon from Swintec.

I need adjust the ribbon in the swintec 7040. How I do this?

You didn't say what your problem is. If it is spacing you may be in the overstrike mode. Code period,
comma or slash (I can never remember which one) will get you out of the mode.

My Swintec 7040 when I type a letter or word only write a half of the letter or the word and when I try to erase a letter or word the typewriter erase this but the erase ribbon stay in the same position...

There are a few possibilities. If only the tops are printing Press down on the platen to be sure it is fully seated in the side frame. The T/W may be in the overstrike ribbon mode Code period, comma or slash will get you out of that mode.

When typing only upper half of letter or number shows up on the page.

Try typing on a miltipart form. If the carbons are good the problem is the ribbon. Not lifting, folded,
very old or the correction tape is in the way. If the copies are the same then be sure the platen is seated fully in the side frames.

I have a brother electric typewriter and the print on the paper is no longer sharpin appearence.I changed ribbon to no effect. Now what?

MAKE SURE RIBBON IS INSTALLED CORRECTLY, SHOULD BE BETWEEN "FINGERS" NEXT TO CARDHOLDER AND CARDHOLDER.
COULD BE A BAD BATCH OF RIBBONS
SOMETIMES CORRECTABLE RIBBON DOESN'T PRINT WELL ON CERTAIN TYPES OF PAPER, SUCH AS "NCR" PAPER, TEXTURED, SLICK OR ANY PAPER THAT HAS BEEN THROUGH A PRINTING PROCESS (FORMS, LETTERHEADS, ETC.)
CHECK RIBBON ITSELF. THE CARBON SHOULD BE A FAIRLY EVEN LAYER. IF THERE ARE BLANK PLACES----

Sounds like you need a new ribbon or you are using non-Swintec compatible ribbons that are not properly aligned to your ribbon feed. Try using Swintec brand ribbons and see if this still occurs. Worst case scenario, you need to have your ribbon feed adjusted at your local dealer.

The typewriter is supposed to automatically adjust itself to the type of ribbon you have installed. Have you tried a different ribbon?
