Check the serial number of the printer. I don't know the series, but it's posted on here or another site, but a whole slew of them were defective and will eat printer cartridges that are perfectly good. It's not the cartridge, it's the printer. Just find out if out if you have one of the recalled ones and take it back.

try and reset your printer, unplug the power cord and wait 10 min, then plug back in,understand that Canon has installed a chip so you cannot use refilled cartridges,or cartridges you refill,if this doesn't work, then contact Canon, and you could get the same message I got take it in to be repaired, (to costly), so I end up buying a new one,,

The black printer cartridge leaked a fair amount of ink in to the printer. I am getting all lights flashing and the printer won't even turn off when I hit the power button. I did some cleaning and it...

Sorry to hear that.. here are some instructions that should help you out:

Instructions

things you'll need: Microfiber cloth

1. Ink Cartridge Errors
2. Turn the printer on and open the ink cartridge cover. Wait for the cartridge carriage to stop completely before reaching into the printer.
3. Press on the top of each print cartridge, then pull the cartridges free from the carriage. Make sure you are only using HP cartridges labeled as "HP 60" or "HP 60XL."
4. Reinstall the ink cartridges and close the cover. If the ink cartridge error message displays again, remove the ink cartridges as before.
5. Clean the copper metal contacts on the cartridges using a dry microfiber cloth. If you still see the error message after you reinstall the ink cartridges, replace hem with new cartridges.

Print using the device's ink backup mode if you do not have a replacement for one of the cartridges. Remove the cartridge you cannot replace and close the cover and continue printing. The printer will automatically use the backup mode until you install a new cartridge.

Dell a940 error code 50c

From doing my research, I have found that the 50C Error message comes from the cartridge, usually if it has been refilled. If this cartridge is new, please return it to the place of purchase for a new one or a refund.

Here's what happens when you refill the Dell Series 2 ink cartridges. There is a sensor in them that cannot be reset.

Dell ink cartridges can only be purchased at Staples, Walmart or Dell's website.

Dell ink cartridges have a sensor that reports the ink level as low once it reaches a certain level. The sensor can not be reset. If you refill an ink cartridge that previously reported low ink, it may print fine, but the sensor will always report low ink. Buying or replacing ink cartridges with new Dell cartridges will resolve the low ink message.

Dell discourages ink refills. Refilling ink may lead to print quality problems, and even eventual hardware problems.

if u have not refilled ur cartridge and u still get this error i suggest u buy a new cartridge.....

good luck
have a nice day

Dell printer model# A940 50c error

Test your cartridges.

Remove the color ink cartridge then lower the cover of your printer. If the error message displays again, replace the black cartridge with a new one (or return the new one). Reinstall the color cartridge and remove the black ink cartridge then lower the cover. If the error message displays again, replace the color cartridge with a new color cartridge.
Note: My manual indicated that the printer might have detected a short circuit in a cartridge. I returned a month old black cartridge got a new one and my printer is working fine now. Good luck.

Inkjet refills

hi,

as you are using a refilled cartridge, it is causing this problem. the thickness of ink in a hp genuine cartridge and a refilled cartridge varies. and also the refilled cartridge may make your printer faulty. so it is good to try with a new hp genuine ink cartridges.

HP 1350V all-in-one

Hi, You need to get a new ink cartridge. It is really not recommended to refill ink cartridges but if you do then it is advisable not to exceed 3 times because it could damage the printer head. If the new inks still gives error, then your printer head may need to be checked to see if it needs replacing. Good luck!
