I'm having an issue with the tv not displaying any images, can't even get the input menu to come up. I tried unplugging/rebooting to no effect. anyone else experiencing this?

When the TV is turned on the red light pulses 5 times and then the blue light comes on, but nothing is on the screen, no menu or anything. I called the LG service center and they scheduled a local repair company. The local repair company called to ask what the power light was doing they said the part I needed is backordered and will not be available to two weeks.

I have the same problem. Was watching a movie and all of a sudden tv went off. I thought I had accidently hit the power button on the remote but noticed the slow flashing of the power light on the tv. Called LG customer service they told me to unplug it and wait, did so and still the same thing. Even left unplugged for a day and nothing. LG set up repair with local company only local company has yet to contact me, and it has been 5 days. Best of luck with this problem.

I have had the same problem, basically. I've only had tv since Aug. 16,08. It was giving me a blue lock out screen and shutting down by itself. I have had service people come out twice to put in a new main frame board. It has only been 2 weeks since the last one was put in and yesterday it started again. It shuts down by itself, the power light flashes red and blue and tries to come on. After several minutes it actually comes back on. I have called the service people AGAIN. Someims I have to hold the power button to try to get it to come back on. The picture is awesome when it works.

We have a 50" projection tv. it was manufactured in 1995. tonight we were watching it and it went black. the on/off button was flashing red. is it worth getting repaired

I won't pay more that $50 to fix a 15 years old projection tv, and no body will go to check it for less that $120 just to see it.
Did you try to unplug the power for a few seconds.

You need the Y sustain and y drive boards. No idea where to purchase in australia, but you may be able to order them from LG.

Problem with proscan 19LA25Q

Watching a movie tonight...and slowly there was odd behavior from the screen. No volume at first, then flickering, fragmenting and now, as the others only shows the red power. I have noticed some strange flickering the past 2 weeks or so. I thought it may be the cable, so did not concern myself too much. I believed that was the problem tonight as well. But the screen is definately not responding to the remote or manual button.

Keeps blowing up

Sounds like a factory issue. You should call lG directly and explain it to them. They're likely to get you another unit.
