Hp dv9000 turn on safe mode and now it wont go off, even when i restarted

some times when you have loaded up in safe mode just turn the power of by the mains not by windows shut down.
this is not a good idea but a lot of times this does work and it does turn of safe mode.
do so at your own risk.

Service host:local system(16) using high cpu

Go in to safe mode with networking and see if you get the same issue.
Make sure the laptop is turned off - not in sleep or hibernate.
OK, now start the computer and tap the F8 key till you see a black and white screen that has the Option: Safe mode with networking. Windows will now start in a diagnostic mode.. A warning screen will tell you that you're in safe mode. Click it closed. Try the internet now and see if the CPU repeats your issue. If the issue is now gone, then you have a hack or infection - most likely. Reply back to me and I can help further.. If this has helped anybody - please toss me a bone - vote

Deleatded something from windows and now my laptop dont work

You should be able to go into safe mode and do a system restore to just before you had the problem. 1. Turn on your computer and start hitting f8 several times. It should take you to a screen before windows would even start. It will ask you what you want to do. 2. Go into safe mode. 3. Go to control panel, then to system restore, and try restoring it back to a time before the problem started. That will completely reset the computer back to the time you choose. And "should" rectify the problem.

Damaged screen so i plugged in a moniter but now windows wont operate properly.and the screen on the moniter wont load fast enough to launch safe mode or factory reset should i reinstall windows by making...

LOL a Recovery CD should be made when you first purchased the system. Now that you have it all bugged up, I would doubt that a Recovery CD you make now would even work. Most times the ones you make anyway don't work.

I think you should turn off the laptop, turn it on and immediately start hitting F8 repeatedly to get into Safe Mode. I've never heard of a situation where the monitor wont load fast enough to launch safe mode.

If that's the case it sounds like you need to fix the problem with the laptops lcd screen.

What do you mean when you say windows wont operate properly? I think you've got viruses or infections that you need to get rid of.

Windows reports the computer is infected, and wont let me open any programs other than Firefox, so I cant even do a system restore, or open any virus fighting programs I try to download. What should I do?

Please give me the exact windows message. Try to boot the computer to safe mode. Turn off computer, when the computer is starting, tap the f8 key continously until you get to the advance boot menu, then select safe mode.

Get windows 7, or downgrade to xp. lol kidding. During the start up, i beleve its either f11 or f12 press them it should bring you to a boot screen. follow option. or you can use the compaqs built in recovery system. reinstall your system. vista has a option to save its old files for transfer.

Lenovo X60 Laptop blue screen error wont boot up

Try to go into safe mode by pressing F8 as soon as you turn on the laptop.

If you get into safe mode then go into system restore and choose a date when the laptop was working properly. Let it rollback to that date and reboot the computer and let it go and see if it goes back into windows.

If you get a blue screen even when trying to go into windows then the operating system is corrupted and you'll need to do a factory restore on the laptop, meaning the hard drive would have to be wiped out and the operating system put back onto the hard drive.

I just installed xp pro and it keeps freezing

To get into the Windows 2000 / XP Safe mode, as the computer is booting press and hold your "F8 Key" which should bring up the "Windows Advanced Options Menu" as shown below. Use your arrow keys to move to "Safe Mode" and press your Enter key.
Note: With some computers if you press and hold a key as the computer is booting you will get a stuck key message. If this occurs, instead of pressing and holding the "F8 key", tap the "F8 key" continuously until you get the startup menu.
Trouble Getting into Windows 2000 or Windows XP Safe mode - If after several attempts you are unable to get into Windows 2000 or Windows XP Safe Mode as the computer is booting into Windows, turn off your computer. When the computer is turned on the next time Windows should notice that the computer did not successfully boot and give you the Safe Mode screen.

I would suggest that you run only one stick of Ram at a time to determine if they are the problem.. Also these CPU's had heat problems that damaged the cpu. This also causes freezing. I would consider resetting the CPU and the heat sink, and case fans are clean and working.

Emachines 2792

pull the power plug as soon as the emacines logo comes on
and if that doesn't work pull out the power as soon as the first windows logo screen comes on. it should then come on and give you the option to start in safe mode or regular mode, choose safe mode then after it comes on in safe mode restart the cpu
then it should come on in regular mode i don't know why it works for my emachines cpu but it does . i'm looking at downloading a error fixing program because i'm doing this almost when ever i turn off my cpu hope this helps if not reformat your hard drive andput windows on again it worked last time i had this problem.
