My Canon ImageClass MF6590 keeps flashing a message " Check Document". There was a jam in the Top document feeder tray but it has been clearsd now. My printer will not take but half a page before jamming...

That suggests either that the jam or clearing it physically damaged something, or that despite looking carefully there is still at least a little bit of paper jammed in there somewhere. I do't know how often my printers have jammed on something very much smaller than my little finger nail...

Canon imageclass mf6590 sucks paper back in when printing/copying even though all 2-sided print/copy settings are turned off. Can't make it stop.

Hi,
You can try to put it back to factory setting's under user mode.

Press MENU and #, select clear and all, press OK.

Now the machine is back to the original state.

NOTE: after clear all you need to enter all your settings that you had before

Hope that helps!

System keeps initializing, will not allow you to copy or print. the message also states toner low prepare new one. we have inserted a new cartridge. i've turned have unplugged and turned it, waited 5...

Are the machine making noise that sounds like something is turning? If yes, that means that the machine replenishes the toner. Give her a little more offs and ons.
If does not help call service.
