Question about Samsung Cell Phones
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

as far as I am aware the bands are the same world wide if you have quad band, otherwise we from the UK would not be able to roam abroad with them. Only thing I would worry about is the mains charger, as the voltage is different in europe to USA (220volts/240volts ----- USA 110volts) Oh and the plugs themselves are different. Might be worth also checking with Samsung if warranty is worldwide! I think it is?

have you dropped your phone on the floor?
if yes then you have dameged the sim terminals.
try to turn on without a sim or memory card.
if it turns on then try with another sim,
then try the memory card, if still problem persist you need to take it to a service centre.
i wont recommend samsung showroom. it will take more time.

SOURCE: i brought a samsung mobile
You likely will have to contact the retailer in England where you purchased the phone. Ask them (nicely!) to give you the simlock code that should allow you to use another carrier's sim.
