Question about Bose Audio Players & Recorders

Open Question

Bought a pair of sennheiser MX1 W1 and the transmitter doesnt work, only when you plug it into the charger does it light up. Also the left ear piece stopped working. Anyway I phoned sennheiser UK to try get them fixed to shock reply that they discontinued them and cant replace them unless im under warranty. Does this mean my phones are now garbage ready for the trash. when I called I told the rep a fib that they were still under warranty. But they now require reciept of purchase Im really upset to be honest. **** customer service can't even find parts for this product. If you know of a solution that would be magic. I guess I might try sending them off hoping they give me a replacement even though its out of warranty

SOURCE: 6 mo old amw monitor A913B 19

Same Monitor, same problem. Solution: I changed the colors setting to 16 bit from 32 bit, and that cleared the problem. I then changed back to 32 bit and it still worked. How long, not known yet. So , go to display settings, find COLORS: and then change to 16 bit.

SOURCE: Sennheiser Wireless Headphone Stops transmitting signal

I had the same problem when I plugged it into a new HDTV. The problem was that the sound on the TV was set too low. The transmitter has a feature that automatically turns off when the signal is off or too low. Try turning up the TV volume to a high/higher level and it should solve your problem. Using the headphone jack with the white input allows you to use the headphones while bypassing the TV speakers.

SOURCE: Loose Wire, please help

You will have to buy a replace ment jack and solder the connections. These cords seem to have different colors between manufacturers but start by soldering the green or blue (left) to the tip of the plug, the next ring to the red(right) wire and the base to the copper(ground) wire. Try to get a plug with a metal shield that unscrews and make sure you thread the cable through the shield right way around( threads towards plug before you solder.

I have a sennheiser 300 iem g2 transmitter. Last night at a gig i was hearing some high pitched feedback through my in ears depending on where i was standing. Also the low battery light was on even wi

  1. "Feedback" might have been intermodulation with another RF frequency. Make sure to use Sennheiser's frequency finder, or something similar, to determine what TV channels are clear. If you're using more than one transmitter, make sure they're all using the same channel bank.
  2. The low bat/on indicator should be on solid if battery is good; and flashing if the battery is low.

Sennheiser HDR120 - missing transmitter / alternative OR replacement?

The system is working in the 860 Mhz range, so not that common. Most of the time it is cheaper to by a complete new system then to tray to buy components. Just keep looking in the thrift stores you find a transmitter for this headphone for a good price.

Sennheiser OMX980 ear hooks

No, finding spares for Headphones is difficult since they are all different, it's not the same as cabinets or speakers. You are better off buying a new pair and keeping your old ones as a spare.

I have a huge problem with these headphones (the Sennheiser HDR 120)... and my wife bought two of them... They have great sound on the computer, but once the green light turns off on the base? There...

The volume of the sound source (Mac) must be sufficient, otherwise the transmitter automatically turns off. Turn up the volume on the Mac, and turn down the volume on the headphones. There is no way to disable the Automatic On/Off function of the transmitter.

Disturtion in one left channel and bad quality in right channel

Make sure you are NOT overloading (clipping) due to excess signal into the transmitter end of this unit. Reduce the gain INTO the fixed unit and see if the sound improves.

Both cans keep cutting out

Check the 1/4' stereo phone plug for broken wires if you can unscrew the shield. If that is not the problem, you will need to replace the plug and the cable up to the left can. I say left because there is another cable from the top of the left can to the right can carrying the right signal. You said left was mostly cutting out so that connecting cable is likely fine. Slip the foam ear pad off the left can and see if there are screws holding the speaker plate to the cup. Inside of the cup there should be a place where the main cord meets up with the other cord. Make note of the connections and the colors of the wires. You should be able to save the cable grommet by cutting the cable close to it and pulling the wiring out of the insulator and then peeling the insulator tubing out. The rest is parts, soldering and careful, patient work. Remember to solder in a ventilated area.

Help! no bass sound, low volume

You might want to try using a different size of the earpieces that come with it, and make sure they're inserted fully into your ear. They come with three different size earpieces because people's ears are shaped differently, and having the right size can make a HUGE difference in the sound. If it's done right, it should basically feel like you've just inserted an earplug into your ear.

If that doesn't help, and you've tried another pair of headphones to verify that it's not a problem with your sound source, I would guess you were unlucky enough to get a defective pair.
