I like all of the other answers to this question. I would like to add another product that I have personal experience with, and that is CeraVe. There are a number of products in this line, I would recommend CeraVe SA wash and lotion.
Some of the products recommended, including the essential oils and home remedies, work by stopping bacteria, creating extra hydration (fluids) for the skin, soothing skin redness, and in some cases bleaching the skin (removing dark spots or patches). So you should use some caution with these depending on what results you want.
Scars are areas of the skin where damage has been repaired by the skin with tough connective tissues. These don't go away easily. The idea would be to gently remove layers of skin over time to encourage nomal skin to grow into the scarred area. Success varies from person to person. To do this at home, look for the things that are "skin exfoliants". These work to remove the dead cells from the surface of the skin, and over time may decrease the amounts of scar tissue leaving normal skin behind. Two types of this are abrasive products (scrubs) and chemicals that cause dead surface cells to fall off quicker than your normal. Examples are peroxide (that might also remove pigment in spots), isopropyl alcohol (which might damage the normal skin in areas) or salicylic acid (aspirin) that can cause severe irritations unless the dose is carefully controlled. The CeraVe SA has Salicylic Acid in it, and is very gently and controlled exfoliation, and there are many more safe products you can try. If this works for you, you have to five it lots of time and work on your part to get the best result.
These treatments mirror clinical dermatology treatments like "microderm abrasion", "chemical peel", or "laser resurfacing". When talking about the delicate skin on your face, my recommendation would be to consult a reliable and experienced dermatologist. When you already have damage to your skin from acne, sun, over-the-counter products, cigarette smoke, and pollutants you sure don't want to add a home attempt that ends up damaging the skin even more.
Any time you are looking for any doctor, I think recommendations from friends is a really good starting point. Next is: can you talk to the doctor, does the Doc listen and understand your concerns. Tell them if you are on a budget, or if you want to try a specific home remedy and want their recommendations. Don't let them try to sell you a in-office, complicated, procedure without listening to you and discussing all options. If you don't like what you hear, go to someone else. and if you want to try the home stuff, make sure you understand what each treatment can do for you and what the pros and cons are.

Suffering from pimples and acne scars is one of the most common skin problems faced mainly by the teenagers. These are the most stubborn things getting rid of which is really difficult. I would recommend you go for a natural treatment which first includes taking a proper and nutritional diet. As Vitamin B5 is the main supplement for excess Sebum Control and preventing acne, you should consume it in a sufficient amount from natural sources like mushrooms, avocados, beef, eggs, fish, and much more to get rid of these skin problems.

I would recommend either Skin ID or Clinique. Either of those are WONDERFUL. As long as you're 100% truthful on your skin ID evaluation.
If you want a home remedy, try any of the following: honey, lemon, peroxide (slightly harsh) oatmeal
They all work great for pimples. For the scarring, try Vitamin E oil. Since everyone has their own personalized skin type, try playing around with the combinations I listed above. Some will noticeably help, while others, not so much. If you have a severe case, I would definitely look into Skin ID or Clinque, though and leave the home remedies for small breakouts.
Hope this helps!

Scar in my face because of pimples

Glad to HELP YOU!

There are two solutions to make "disappear" that scar.
FIRST ONE is to buy powder at a color as close as possible to your skin color and to do what women do: put some powder over and you will see it will become not visible.
SECOND SOLUTION is - if you have ENOUGH MONEY - to get a plastic surgery.

Anyway, besides the scar, try to deal with your pimples. Wash your face daily with a neutral soap (or a face cleaning lotion) and after that use a medicated astringent.

Don't give up!
Good luck and keep your head up!

Hi yesterday I tried popping a clogged up pimple I had and I applied too much pressure and it took off a peice of the first layer of my skin! I was wondering if that was going to turn into a scar or a dark...

Everyone's skin texture is different but I do not think that this will leave a scar or a dark spot. Even though it is recommended that you do not pop pimples, it is something that you just can't help but do. So in that case you should remember the following: Thoroughly cleanse your skin with cleanser and popping a pimple right after a shower is the best time to do so. Gently apply pressure over the pimple head. If material is expelled, absorb it with a clean tissue. Then press again to be sure all material is expelled. Wash the area again, thoroughly with anti-bacterial cleanser. Apply a clay type acne masque such as Colosé Green Clay Mask in a thick layer. Remove in 10 minutes. You may also want to apply Bren Heal and Conceal to the area. It is an excellent acne fighting product and contains Tea Tree Oil, a natural antiseptic, disinfectant and antibacterial.

What are the disadvantages of cosmetics?

Some of the disadvantages of cosmetics include:
* too expensive( the good brands)
* can ruin your skin with acne, pimples and oily/dry complextion
*some cheap brands can give you an allergic reaction
* different brands are used for different skin types, you may get the wrong skin type
*Cosmetics can leave you with nasty make-up lines
* clog your eyelashes together
*dry your lips out
*can get in your eyes.
these are just some but make up looks good but can ruin your natural beauty
MOST IMPORTANT RULE:
DO NOT PUT MAKE-UP ON TO COVER PIMPLES BECAUSE YOU ARE EMBRASSED, IT WILL MAKE THEM WORSE!!!
JUST LEAVE THEM, THEY WILL GET BETTER QUICKER IF YOU LEAVE THEM ALONE!
