My son blocked everyone out of the tv with parental control. He can't remember the password he used and I can't get the reset to do anything. How can I fix this?

When you said this: They said: turn on the DVD player. Hit "set-up". Scroll down to the "lock" icon. Scroll over to "Rating". Scroll over to unlock. Enter 0000. Click on Ok. Enter 0000 again, click Ok again. Menu should read unlock. Voila!, is that dvd on the tv or a normal dvd player

If you forget your password, press and hold TV on the remote and the

MENU button on the television simultaneously for 3 seconds. Parental

controls will then unlock and you can re-enter a password via Lock
Parental Controls.

Young son locked tv parental control

Under the main menu, go to the Parent tab and enter the Master Password: 4357. This will completely clear the present password. You can enter a new one afterward.

i have an insignia hdtv and the manual says if you forgot the password, enter in 3448 in the password box to reset, it might be the same for yours, good luck

Press the (function or F) button and the mute button at the same time. This will unlock the screen and allow you to view the channel as desired. • If your TV asks for a 4-digit code or password please enter 3308 or 6688 to unlock the screen or reset any preset rating levels

PARENT CONTROL

You can try to enter the following master password: 4357. After using the master password, you must create a new password. The master
password cannot be used to unlock currently blocked channels.

Parental block

You can try these codes 2211 or 3308 if they do not work you will need to reset the unit. You will need to unplug it for 45 minutes that will reset the TV to factory settings. Then the pass codes I provided should work.

If you have reset the TV back to factory settings, you can use the factory unlock code, which is 0000.

To Reset the TV:

Press the MENU button on the remote control to display the Main menu, and select SETUP.
Highlight Reset Default, and press the OK button.

To Remove the Parental Control Block:

Press the MENU button on the remote control to display the Main menu, and select SETUP.
Highlight Parental, and press the OK button.
To use the Parental function, must enter a four-digit password. The factory password is 0000.
Select Program Block, and press OK to display the Program Block menu.
You can remove the parental control in this section.
