SOURCE: Hi. I have to replace battery

Probably. Look in the manual. They say to do an ALL CLEAR after the battery is replaced, which WOULD clear the ODO.

It doesnt read the current speed, distance, etc. etc. except the time and the duration.

There is a sensor that you need to affix to the front wheel that comes with the unit. It is magnetic by nature, so if you can find something that is similar to it, you will get results you want. It comes with the unit. How old is the unit? New?

I started carrying my cell phone with me on rides and since then the cateye will stop working for periods of time. Once I made a stop for 10 or so minutes I took of and it began working correctly. Do I...

I'll bet it has nothing to do with the cell phone, although I can't be sure. Try leaving the phone off, ride a short distance, see if the Cateye works, if it does, switch the phone on & see if it stops working.
My Cateye stops working periodically. I take it out of the handlebar mount, clean the contacts on the Cateye and on the mount with a dry cloth and put it back in. That usually does it.
If contacts are bad, you can use a pen or pencil eraser and/or a paper towel wet with alcohol or contact cleaner.
Let me know if this works.

Santa with his son Banta were traveling on a boat after traveling one mile from the starting point the hat of Santa fell down. After 5 minutes Banta told his father about the hat. Santa turned the boat and...

At time 'ZERO', the hat was at distance 'ZERO' from the starting-point.
At time 'T', the hat was at distance 'ONE MILE' from the starting point.
The speed of the boat was the MAXIMUM speed of the boat, MINUS the speed of the current.
At time 'T+5', the hat was being carried by the stream-current toward distance 'ZERO'.
At time 'T+10', the hat was at distance 'ZERO', and the boat was at distance 'ZERO'.
The speed of the boat for the most-recent '10' minutes was the MAXIMUM speed, PLUS the speed of the current.

So, calculate the distance travelled at the 'T+5' time:
DISTANCE = VELOCITY1 multiplied by TIME1.
DISTANCE = VELOCITY2 multiplied by TIME2.

where 'VELOCITY1' is the speed travelling AGAINST the current,
and 'VELOCITY2' is the speed travelling WITH the current.

Finish this "homework" assignment on your own.
