OHH code means "Overheat" condition

The spa has shut down -one of the sensors has detected 118 ° at the heater. Check it and replace it if go to bad.

Hope helps.

My spa is showing an OHH message. What is causing this message?

Make and model would help. How about my best guess?
OHH means OverHeated Heater caused by an error
One of the Water Temp Sensors has detected 118°F (47.8°C) In the Heater and Spa Functions are Disabled. You Must Press Any Button to Reset when Water is below 108°F (42.2°C). Check for Water Level, Flow Restrictions, Closed Valves, Air Bubbles, and Pump Prime, or Continue for a Detailed Test Procedure.

WARNING:
A Heater Overheat Error Message may indicate Excessively High Heater Temperatures which can Scald or Burn!
If the Heater is Not Cool Enough to Safely Service, allow the Heater to Cool before Continuing Testing.
A Heater Overheat Condition that generates an "OHH" Error Message is Most Likely the result of a Low Flow Condition. Therefore, "OHH" is considered to be a Flow Related Error.
Check for All of the following Conditions:
1.Low Water Level.
2.Blocked Suction Fitting.
3.Blocked Skimmer.
4.Dirty Filter.
5.Too Many Closed Jets.
6.Closed Slice Valve.
7.Heat Related Pump Not Running.
8.Heat Related Pump Not Primed.
9.Contact your Dealer or Service Organization.

DO NOT remove the protective covers from any electrical enclosure, or attempt to service any related electrical device, unless you are a qualified electrician or service professional.
As a responsible adult, always check the topside control panel display for errors and verify safe water temperature before using a spa, and before allowing children to use a spa. Safety should ALWAYS be your first consideration

How do you turn a balboa spa on?

FYI...
Balboa does not make spas, just control systems.
but that is enough info to begin a troubleshoot process...
  • do you have anything displaying on topside control panel?
  • Fault codes?
  • When you say no power after connection to circuit what do you mean exactly?
  • Have you checked for burned system fuse?

My pumps will not turn on. i have a ms501s balboa master spa. i checked the pumps and they worked good. but the control panel wont turn them on. what can i do?

Is there a message code on the spaside control panel? That would be important to know. If you see no error codes, chances are that you have 'dead' buttons on the panel, especially if you have tested the pumps via an other power source.

Balboa control board wiring for 2 pumps, no circulation pump though

I believe you are barking up the wrong tree.
If I understand you correctly, the pumps are backwards!!!
Pump #1 is always a 2 speed pump.
Pump #2 is usually just a 1 speed pump.
When the filtration cycle comes on, "Low" speed is supposed to be the speed that does the heating.
But when your pump is on high speed, the movement of water is creating friction and that will heat the water and provide you all of the error codes you have been experiencing.
A 2 speed pump is normally a "Circulation" pump.
as far as dip switch settings, there is a key on the label on the inside of the load box cover. It will be in a little table.

How to fix balboa EL2001 spa

Hi,

OHH would be the Hi Limit sensor. OHH is an overheat event...
Check the followng:
1. Low GPM.
2. Low Water Level.
3. Blocked Suction Fitting.
4. Blocked Skimmer.
5. Dirty Filter.
6. Too Many Closed Jets.
7. Closed Slice Valve.
8. Heat Related Pump Not Running.
9. Heat Related Pump Not Primed.
10. Malfunctioning Impeller.
11. Incorrect Heat Related Pump.
12. Circ System Misconfigured.
13. Sensor Malfunction.

As you have already changed the sensor it is likely to be one of the others points. Hope that helps.

Balboa vs500/501/502 gs500/501/502 I just refilled spa yesterday and now I'm getting error codes HL and dr both indicate low flow issues, The water level was re-filled to where it's always been. Any help...

A lot of times you can get an air lock as the spa fills. All you need to do to fix this is open the drain valve for a few seconds till it runs just water and no air. Or start the pump wile the drain is open. This should fix your problem. Good luck.

When I put power to my unit. A Sn code appears. Great Lakes spa 1996 260E balboa wiring

If the SnS or Sn Message is Alternating with the Water Temperature on the Display, it is a Possible Sensors Out of Sync Message.
If the SnS or Sn Message is Blinking or Flashing OFF and ON without showing Water Temperature, it is a Verified Sensors Out of Sync Message.
