Is the battery almost dead? If so, try plugging it into a computer or wall socket if you have the right accessories.

Lg ku970 charging please wait

The battery and the power adapter must be checked separately on another set to confirm this case. If the battery is bad or weak it will not take in charge and so as if the adapter has a regulation fault .

Try to reformat it. It might be a virus or a bug.

Please wait very low battery

This is, clearly, a battery issue. Try restoring the iPod by following this article "http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1339". If your issue persists, then you might have to send the iPod in. It might cost you, if your iPod isn't within warranty.

Very low battery

It sounds perfectly fine. :P
The only problem is that the battery is very low! You have to wait for it to charge so that it can come up onto your computer, silly. Just let it charge for a few minutes and then I'm sure it will work fine. If there is still a huge problem with it, maybe you should call apple and see what they have to say about it.
