As long as you still have windows xp on your laptop then the drivers would be located here.
Click on either windows xp or windows xp sp2 and the drivers will show up on the next page. From there you can download and install the network controller and the audio driver.

Then go to Control Panel-Device Manager and one by one pdate the drive of each onejust broese the folder where the drivers are. Download the driver from the toshiba web page.

First check if its a drivers issue.. Unistall the drivers and reinstall the latest drivers from the support website of tashiba... Then try to take the WLAN and reinsert it.. Try to get all the wireless networks again and try to connect.. If the issue is not fixed you may have to replace the WLAN card....

Hoow do you open gateway MX6440. No audio. Bootup

Typically, a computer tries to "boot" from several devices:
1. 3.5-inch diskette
2. internal CD-ROM
3. internal disk-drive
4. USB memory-stick
5. network (if a "boot-server" can be found on the network)
6. external diskette
7. external CD-ROM
8. external disk-drive

So, in your case, either

* the "boot-order" _EXCLUDES_ your disk-drive,
* your disk-drive is not connected,
* your disk-drive is connected, but is "dead" (not responding)

Not being able to boot from the disk-drive, your computer probes, via the network, for a "boot-server". Finding none, your computer reports, in a strange way, that "network cable is not connected to a boot-server".

So, the "check cable" means that the Ethernet cable between the network-port on your computer and the boot-server may be "unconnected".

What this could mean is that your disk-drive is "dead".
Take the computer to a qualified technician, for more trouble-shooting.

MY CD ROM DOES NOT PLAY ANY VIDEO OR AUDIO FILE

Most likely this is a failed CD drive or failed CD reader board in the drive. You can try cleaning the lens, and uninstalling the drivers for the drive from the device manager, but most liky you will have to replace the drive. When you unistall the drivers, restart the machine. it will find the CD drive and reinstall the drivers automatically. If a lens cleaning kit, or reinstalling the drivers do not work, then I'm afraid the drive will need replaced.

Toshiba dvd burner problem

Try unistalling the dvd drive in device manager. Go to my computer click on view system information. Then click on hardware, then click on device manager find your dvd drive then right click and unistall a warning window will popup click ok. Once you unistall it restart the system and windows will find new device and reinstall the device driver. Then check if this fixes the problem. if this dosnt fix the problem try removing the dvd drive from the laptop and reinsert it. Sometimes the connection losses contact with the terminals.
