We have a Dell 2000FP that for the last few days goes to sleep after about 20 minutes. I have not changed the settings on it and it used to stay on all the time. When I go into display settings (using Windows XP), the button to adjust monitor power settings is not there. We actually have 2 of these monitors and when I go to the computer that has the other one, the button is not there, either, but IS there on our computers that use other Dell monitors.

If the monitor gets no signal it will show orange. or ,It's hibernating or sleeping. Shut down computer, reboot, open Control Panel, Power settings, change to High Performance, change Hibernate to never or disable, change sleep to never or disable. Shut down the computer and monitor when not in use. It will last longer and reset the computer every day when turned on.
Is it going to sleep or is it actually shutting down? Do you have to push the power button to turn it back on? Just a thought - if you have Windows 7, go to Start, Control Panel, then System and Security. Now check 'Change when the computer sleeps' under Power Options. Under Edit Plan Settings, what do you have for 'Put the computer to sleep'. Does '20 minutes' show up in the box? Open it and change it to 'Never' and then Save changes. If this didn't help you, maybe someone else can.
