The Targus WIreless Mouse with Power management is supported by Windows and does not require additional drivers. To confirm that Windows has loaded the drivers:
Click Start>Right-click My Computer>Select Manage
Select Device Manager
Expand the Human Interface Devices section.
You should see an entry for USB Human Interface Device. If you don't see an entry, right-click on the Human Interface Devices entry and select Scan for hardware changes.
If you don't see any results, look for any yellow question marks or exclamation marks underneath the Unknown Devices category. You may find the mouse listed there. If so, right-click on it and select "Update Driver". Select "Yes, this time only", then click Next, leave the default selection as is and click Next. If the update fails, try again except this time, after the first "Next", select the advanced option, "Install from a list or a specific location", then click Next.
Select "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install".
If a default selection appears on the screen that follows, click Next and it should install. If successful, I recommend you restart your machine for any changes to take effect. If the installation isn't successful, you may need to submit a ticket on Targus' support site.
I hope this helps you! If you have any questions, feel free to reply.

The first thing that I would advise you to do is,
Make sure you are connecting it to your system through a USB 2.0 Port, and not 1.0 USB Port.
Next, uninstall the Wireless presenter totally from the System first,
Then go to "scan for hardware changes",
This will bring up a prompt to install the new hardware found (Which is your Wireless presenter).
After this, ensure that it is On, then Scan for wireless networks.
It should connect like that.
(In case you don't know how to uninstall the Adapter, Right-Click on my computer Icon, Properties, Device Manager, then select the Adapter under network adapters, and right click on it, then select uninstall.)
Hope this helps.
