Have a 2005 a1250n Hp computer with Hp ver XP SP3 OS installed. MOBO failed. Can it be replaced by same p/n 5188 1936 using current all ready loaded XP OS. Will GUID be a problem?

If you can get the exact mobo you may replace it. No driver issue will raise. You can also buy a new mobo with same chipset and replace it. Same chipset mobo will require to install Sound, ethernet and vga drivers

Yahoo.comHow to uninstall deep freeze 6 software from PC

Faronics Deep Freeze is a very powerful application, it prevents any unwanted changes on the system by freezing an entire hard disk or partition without restricting user access. Unlike older version, Deep Freeze 6 cannot be disabled or uninstall this Deep Freeze without password. Before u reformat or install a fresh OS, try the steps below, without password. 1. Boot yr PC from the CD with windows XP, if u have Windows XP OS 2. Now enter R to repair after booting. 3. Let it continue until finish 4. Now prepare the DeepFreeze to install, u will come across a option "Uninstall Deep Freeze", select this option and click next. After finishing the uninstall, reboot yr PC. 5. Now u will find that the Deep-freeze has removed from your computer.

That model's definitely a junker. I'd recommend an entirely different computer brand. If you could afford it, Sony is a good brand, as well as Samsung. Just stay away from the Vista OS, it's terrible. Try Windows XP or Windows 7 on your next computer after you get your money back.

My desktop freezes when im running a program most of the time in my windows 7. there is no blue screen or any error. the pc just stops responding the mouse doesnt move. i dont have a choice but to restart...

Windows 7 is a slightly heavy (lighter than vista though) operating system (OS),
so it tends to freeze on computers with low specifications.
You can free up some disk space by deleting the old windows files, thats if you had an OS before Windows 7 previously installed, you can also delete unnecessary files that you dont need.

If your pc has low specs, and you were originally using Windows XP, the best solution would be to go back to Windows XP

Dimension 3000 keeps freezing

Sounds to me like the hard drive might be going bad. Bad sectors on the hard drive can cause the freezing to happen.

If you have a spare known working hard drive, put that one into the system and then install windows xp on it and see what happens.

If that doesn't do it then try each memory stick one at a time in each slot one at a time and see if the freezing goes away. If it does then you know its a memory stick problem.

Also unseat and reseat the CPU into the slot and make sure there is not dust or dirt in the socket that the CPU sits in.

After all of this if you still have freeze up problems then the motherboard is bad.
