Question about Philips 170S7FS 17" LCD Monitor
This kind of symptoms indicated that the keypad board (Auto button key) has a resistance due to build-up dirt and moist inside which is sensed by the processor that's why the "automatic adjustment" frequently pop up. This issue will solve by spraying an electrical contact cleaner directly to the button. The unit must take apart to do this.
If you can't take it apart yourself, I would advice you to find friends or look for a qualified technician to make the above solution.
Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!
